How long do Arrows last? [answered]

Featured Replies

I just wondering how long arrows last b4 they break?

Im using the Accumulator.

If i have 100 arrows and take 100 shots (all picked up).

How many would I have left?

Someone saids its about 75%, so 100 arrows would be 175shots?

Cheers

Arrows don't break, they either stay on the floor or disappear after you shoot them.

pretty sure arrows disappear 20% of the time while your fighting monster, they disappear off the ground like any other item, i think

I just looked on the Tipit Range guide.

Its says 4/5th can be picked up (20%)

BUT

Its say the accumulator will pick up 75%! of arrows

Man the accumulator is good <3:

Im getting about 200k steel arrows, meaning thats 350k shoots!

Cheers for the help.

Don't forget that better arrows last longer.

I just wondering how long arrows last b4 they break?

If you shot a bunch of arrows then you can typically pick up about 75% to 80% of them.

But then, those arrows can then be re-shot and you can get 75% to 80% of those arrows back.

You can keep on doing that until your arrows are all gone.

So, the total number of shots that you can get turns out to be

Shots = Arrows/(1-p)

where p is about 0.75 to 0.80 (75% to 80%)

So you end up being able to shoot each arrow about 4 to 5 times.

So, 200k arrows could give you 800k to 1000k shots in total.

(If you pick them up)

Hope this helps

Thank you so much.

Im doing this because Im trying to find out how many arrows i need to kill 26k dust devils. 200k steel arrow should to do the trick?

...Im doing this because Im trying to find out how many arrows i need to kill 26k dust devils...

26k Dust Devils at 105 HP each (according to the Tip It bestiary) will earn you 10.92 million exp.

So, if you started at 1,700,291 range exp you would end at 12,620,291 exp.

That's about level 98.674

Why not just go for level 99?

It would take about 111800 steel arrows to reach 99 if you pick them up.

(or about 447200 if you don't)

Hope this helps

Well of course im going for 99 <3:. Its was about 26980 kills

Wonder if theres any safe spots that can use the accumulator

to pick your arrows. :uhh: Also hope to get D CHAIN <3: :ohnoes:

Thanks =D>

Don't you break more arrows on rapid than you do on accurate?

Dont think so.

Well hope not :ohnoes: :uhh: :XD:

I think Rapid is faster but less accurate

and Accurate is slow but ..... accurate

i thought better arrows last less...its always been like that for me :\

You're calculating incorrectly...

If you have 200K arrows and pick up 150K from the accumulator, you still have 150K arrows left then multiplied by .75 etc.

Using a sequential equation Use of n = Use of n-1 * .75 Use of 0 = 200K

we can use an equation finding how many shots you would have taken after you let's say repeat this process 10 times.

So...

250000((.75^11)-1) / -0.25 = 958K

Yes, that seems "right".

The infinite geometric series is probably the easiest way to do this calculation.

If you kept on shooting until your arrows were all gone,

(instead of just 10 times), then you get:

250000/(1-0.75) = 1000k

Picking up your arrows really helps a lot.

Someone should make calculator out of this lol.

There has been a bit of talk about that in this thread...
