Limited buys per magic shop

Featured Replies

Jagex should limit the amout of runes you can buy from each shop so as to stop auto buyers taking all the deaths chaos runes etc.

This would stop alot of reports being sent to them and it would also allow some fair playing users to get some runes they need.

If you were a merchant, would you like to prevent people from buying your items and you making money, or would you rather sell as much as you can to whoever you can to make as much money as possible?

Rune shop autoers aren't big enough of a problem to require a limit on purchases. The best thing we can do is to keep reporting the autoers and get them banned. If we send reports to Jagex, they can ban the accounts before they can transfer items to the main selling account.

In f2p its a big problem. Try buying deaths or chaos, a macro is always there ready to buy. The only good spot is at port sarim, but it looks like its being overtaken by macros aswell. Merchanting (as in buying from the shop, selling to a player) deaths or chaos for a f2per is near to impossible now. F2pers rely on p2p merchants or just give in to the bots.

But the prices of deaths and chaos are stabilizing again. So i dont think Jagex should go to extreme lengths as to limiting amounts. As Darkblade986 just report them.

or you could give them a few randoms when they are buying runes. most of them are the most simple of bots, because they don't get any randoms when you have a shop window open. i know that randoms are still easy to overcome, but it will stop them for a little while until they upgrade their macro programs. Jagex could also step up in another way, and change the code for their packet information every few months, so that the macros don't know what the packet information that is sent to them means.

Limited buys would be a good suggestion, but they're could be more rune shops in hard to reach places that require quests etc to get into.

I get really angry with rune shop macro's and the onl good world to buy any runes is world 2.

I think limiting rune purchases would cause too many problems for legitimate players. Just report them.

I also disagree because when I buy runes I buy them in major bulk from stores and I also sell to others after I buy lots and sell for 300% the price.
