Random Events

Featured Replies

I feel that many runescape citizens bear an unnatural hatred for the random events. Of course some ARE annoying. For example: ents, zombies, shades etc. I, however, believe that the gift givers are generally beneficial (except for the sandwhich lady; I mean I accidently choose the kebab and she wangs me over the head with her baguette). I once recieved half a crystal key from the mysterious old man! So what are your thoughts?

If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system.

Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased.

The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."

The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?

I think that randoms make the game more fun and interesting. If you stand and cut logs, run to the bank, bank the logs, back to tree, rinse lather, repeat, then you are going to get very bored. I think that is the main reason that Jagex put randoms in, it keeps the game fun.

Genies are awesome... doing hunter I get tons of lamps!!

Actually the main reason has been answered as the randoms are there for stoping autoers, macros, bots

Well I don't know about that but these last days I've been getting bunch of genies ;)

Hah, made you look. ;D

Used to have a smith/mining blog here, BUT THAT WAS A LONG-TIME AGO.

Genies have a special place in ym heart... THAT'S what a random should be like! Short, and great reward for the person recieving it!

Genies!, i like the randoms when you get clothes...but not when i have the whole set....= 20 Lederhosens 30 Frog tokens and 10 Camos.

I show no hatred toward most events. However, my opinion of the Swarm has gone way down since it became non-attackable. That is the only one I really dislike, since its... just there... You can't fight it, you can't talk to it, you just have to run.

I personally love the combat based events... River Troll, Tree Spirit, and Rock golem. I just flip on prayer, whip out my dds and take in the spoils! It's easy kill and fun as it is suprising... with the chance of some pretty nice loot... rune axe ftw! :D
