kelbri
I have been hanging out in the SoS lately. I have noticed one major discrepancy in a question asked at gates... Will Jagex block your password ingame? -Yes. -No. If you pick no, you are told that is correct. Jagex will NOT block your password... But there has been an update some time ago about this. Jagex DOES in essence block your password... I quote from ingame... "You appear to be telling someone your password - please don't!" "If you are not, please change your password to something more obscure!" Why has this not been changed? I know, I know, you shouldn't be saying your password ingame anyways, but is this not giving out false information on Jagex's part? This should really be changed. Edit: If this has already been discussed, sorry, I haven't seen it, and couldn't find anything on it in my search...

ianer101
There may still be some unresolved bugs in the password-blocking system, allowing some players passwords to be said. "If you have nothing constructive to say, don't say anything at all."
Freesia
Exactly. You are not supposed to be saying your password in game anyway. This feature only acts as a secondary protection should you be careless. Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(. dunno_com
Well spotted. Maybe it's not that important to fix it but it should be fixed.
rareghoul1
although it is true that jagex does block your password now, they should not change the answer. it just makes people take more care to avoid saying their password, like they should
drapit
Maybe they purposely NOT block out passwords that are easy to use like: fletching, magic, ancients. etc
kelbri
Nope, it will block out your password no matter what it is... even if it is fletching (plus, why anybody would have a pass like that is beyond me). Like I said, you shouldn't be saying your pass in game anyways, but it really should be changed in the answer, seeing as your pass DOES get blocked. Not a huge problem, but yeah, one that really should be changed.
hatebringer
eh, leave it there, it teaches new players not to just go blabing their pass around. and its not very smart to try out your pass word in an open market anyways i dont trust em, ever since that prayer glitch never got fixed 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer
