zeekyhbomb
Well, the title is basically my problem. My frame rate on WoW caps at about 12 FPS and it's often only 3 FPS, it's awful. My computer isn't the best in the world, but I don't think it should be running so slow. My computer: Celeron® CPU 2.40GHz 1.25 GB of RAM Some Integrated( :( ) Intel Graphics Card yeah, I don't know what else is needed to show what I have that can run the game. I just want to know how I could get my FPS up, I have all of the video settings to the lowest quality etc. I am so confused.
JoeDaStudd
Some Integrated( :( ) Intel Graphics Card That's your problem. The rest of your pc is ok (1.25 gb of ram is more then most). I would recommend that you go to crucial system scanner. It should tell you your graphics cards slot. From there all as we need to know is the slot and how much you are willing to spend on a new card. mastermule52
:-\ integrated cards aren't that bad - they can do better than 12 frames a second. Try running WoW in windowed mode with your task manager running and ensure you don't have something else eating up your memory/cpu. zeekyhbomb
I tried sticking it into windowed to see if it would help, I made it real tiny, and it was still the same frame rate. The only thing that takes up much on my processes is vsmon[Caution: Executable File], but that is my Firewall so I don't know what to do about it. That uses 108.808 K. mastermule52
I was really thinking about what would be taking up your CPU Sort it by CPU and see what's using the most. Nadril
have you always had this problem or is it just recent zeeky?
The_Sith
If you've always had this problem, you could have your graphics turned up too high - most specifically: turn off Vertical Sync, full screen glow, and death effect. That helped me tremendously on my Mac and when I recommended my friend try it, he gained 20-25FPS.
zeekyhbomb
I unchecked Vertical Sync, but Full-Screen Glow and Death Effect wont let me uncheck them. If they are grayed out, but checked, would they be enabled or disabled? Any idea how I can make the whole top portion of Shaders not gray? I've always had this problem with the low frame rate. x76
If you just play for the gameplay and not the graphics, put it into 16 bit mode with 1x multisample. When I did that it gave me 10fps.

By gave you 10fps do you mean... you now have 10 fps? or you now have 10 fps more than what you had before. Also... 6 day old topic, mate ;-) I'm interested for a personal note tho - my friend lags like no other lol she's already on as low of detail as possible basically... The_Sith
Don't apologize - people have tech problems that last longer than six days. It sounds like it was an ongoing issue anyways.. no harm done.
