-Merchanter's Guild-

Recommended Posts

I think this would be a good idea to work with. There could be an entree cost (1 time).

Anyone have any thoughts about what it could contain? How much it would cost to get in? Some uses?

A merchanting skill has been suggested and got flamed, my bet is this will get the same. JAGeX didn't intend for items in the game to be merchanted, but they did, I don't think they would promote it. Anyway, they take away the point in skills.

This is one of those things that players just made. There isn't a pking guild, a clan guild, a stakers guild, a pures guild, a newbies guild, a beggars guild, a "My main is Zezima ch00bnoobfr00bletchoobaxxor!" guild, a "I want a gf d00d" guild, a HYT guild, a plz guild (Oh, I would hate it)... Way too many things that could possibly be guilds.

Merchanting is one of those things that players ended up inventing. They are uncontrollable and quite random. Also, what would be the use of this guild?

Definately what everyone else said. Another thing:

There are not guild for all skills, let alone something that isn't even a skill.

There are only guilds for skills that can be more effectively trained in them. Crafting, mining, fishing, magic, etc. There is no firemaking guild, because there are no environments which let you train the firemaking more effectively. (Even though IMO, there should be a smithing guild.) Since there is no effective way to "train" merchanting, there should be no Merchanting Guild, also especially because it is not even a skill.

One more thing:

Only experience players even know the basics of merchanting. While it can be F2P, it would never make it out as a skill, because there is no way to "train it", because the only way to "train" this occupation is to make trades with other players, and Jagex doesnt give you 10 xp every time you trade someone.
