Erik1535
As the title says, is the RuneScape Guide worth purchasing? Is it just a hoax? And does anyone know if it's an actual BOOK I will receive or if it's just a download which I think it is. If it is a real and reliable thing, would anyone like to send a copy of the download to me? Dragon_lord
It's just a hoax... And even if you actually do get a book, It's going to be ultra skinny and the best thing would be: To make money, kill cows and sell their hides. Take my advice, don't buy anything of the sort! Pretty much what Dragon said.Thread terminated.I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator? No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post. Frozen
I made the mistake of downloading it once. It isn't a book but a PDF file that you open in Adobe Reader. Don't waste your $10. The whole thing is basically this: Buy lobs. Buy low, sell high. Merchanting lobs, really. It would be a waste of paper to print out this guys 10-20 page guide on merchanting lobsters. Save yourselves! The Fox Returns!
ambusher94
I wouldnt buy. My friend bought a guide and let me read it. All it says is to buy feathers and start your own buissness and to merchant lobs. Dont waste your money.

tripsis
Absolutely not. Why? In addition to what everyone else said, that it's only going to state the obvious, you can get help for free from us. Chances are that guide will say things like, "Fish lobbies to get 100k gp per hour! Doing that one hour a day could get you 1m gp in only ten days!!!" Quite frankly, that's terrible advice. Something you have to remember is that there are no "get rich quick" methods that work for everybody every time. Some things work for some people that may not work for someone else. You can't expect to be spoon fed information when there are many other factors that need to be filled in. That's where we can help you. Give us information like what your skills are, whether you're F2P or P2P, how often you play each day, etc. and we can help you much more than any old book. In terms of how to make money, there are many methods that you could experiment with. Here are a few off the top of my head:[*:wjo95f6n] Runecrafting nature runes [*:wjo95f6n] Farming herbs. Buy seeds (ranarr or snapdragon) then sell the herbs for profit. [*:wjo95f6n] Fishing sharks [*:wjo95f6n] Woodcutting yews or magics [*:wjo95f6n] Mining iron or coal [*:wjo95f6n] Merchanting (risk) [*:wjo95f6n] Staking (high risk) There are many money-making methods out there. Now before you take one look at the level required to fish sharks (76) and shy away, you have to remember that money doesn't just pop out of thin air, it does in fact take a lot of work and dedication to get there. You have to work for that runecrafting or fishing level before you can let the cash flow in. Just a couple words of wisdom. So don't go wasting your money on a little book that will tell you to fish lobsters for ten days. Especially not when you have a whole community here that is willing to help you out for free :) - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Dragon_lord
Another good money making method is mining rune essence and selling it on the forums for 35gp each. It is in demand as much as hotcakes (hotcaaaakes... ) True, it is boring, but nothing worth having comes by easily  Hard work will get you there, believe me 8-) Pretty much what Dragon said.Thread terminated.I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator? blosssom2581
NEVER, NEVER, REALLY, DON"T They are just a waste of money, and I highly doubt whether the tips are original or copied from some froums and player made guides. My friend got one, and says that that's a complete trash. Ideas are not concrete and very common that everyone knows. Anyway, don't buy it - except you have tons of cash to burn! Celestrana
For some reason,at my brother Alex's elementary school book sale, guess what?!They had an official runescape handbook! It's weird! I suppose you can use it to start a fire on a really cold winter day. But seriously, not only is the Official Site packed to the brim with information on the basics, there are more than enough fan sites available for you to read guides on just about anything you need to know to help you make money. It's rather sad to see some players (some younger players, not all) that are under the impression that money will fall into their laps with no effort at all. Most, if not all, the money that's currently in the game came from dedicated players that used their various skills to "create". The most common way that players "create" money is by using the High Alchemy spell. You may think lvl-55 Magic is difficult to get and you'll burn a hole through your bank before you start seeing the money but this isn't the case. The most important fact that you should remember while playing RuneScape is "skill synergy". Use your skills and know how to use them. Don't trap yourself into making a so-called "pure" character and neglect your non-combat skills. You can think of Primary skills as the skills that allow you to obtain raw materials for Secondary skills. Examples of Primary skills woodcutting, mining and fishing. Secondary skills are skills that consume raw materials, which include crafting, fletching, firemaking, smithing and just about every other skill. Then there are Tertiary skills that don't really fit into the material gathering nor the material consuming categories but instead enrich your gaming experience. Examples of Tertiary skills are Agility and Thieving. So, with 23 skills for you to use, there's plenty of ways for you to make money and use money. Knowledge is Power; a Tip.it guide answers many commonly asked questions.~Celestrana: Making of a Hero ~ (Visit my blog, today!) purpieman2
how much did that guide you bought cost? the guides in AOW for money making here are better and free, so never consider buying one.
trecool9897
The free guides are way better than that one. They're doing it for the money so they don't really care about you. Just look at AOW and other areas for guides on making cash. Thanks Lil_Atza for the sig!
