June 14, 200719 yr Yeah well, I still love Vector but Photoshop crapped up on me so I decided to *try* to draw again. Oh yeah lol, I think I have a scanner I'm not sure .. I'll ask my bro later. But for now Laptop Camera swoosh! Woah just realized how crap that camera is lol, will scan at someone's house later =] New updates are placed at top! So here is a lot of detail: I'm making my female rs character. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE #2 Picture took with my phone so meh.. [hide=Picture lul][/hide] There's something wrong with the scanner because theres a dead moth next to it and I'm not touching it. Don't know what I'm doing with the sword, maybe just be leaning on it .. Changes I made: Skirt shorter, added a belt, added bandages and sword, got hair, boots, wearing some weird underwear .. hehe, and little things. Okay 40 mins to do this: [hide=Lineart][/hide] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE #1 So yeah, I saw a scanner in my brother's room, thought "Woah when did we get that." Tried to look for the installation CD but it wasn't there T__T Crappy camera picture. I seriously can't keep my hand still so most of the pictures where blurry. [hide=Picture of person (With clothes)][/hide] ^ The armor looks more like clothes so might make it a fashion thing instead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So far I have the anatomy of my person, the first picture please don't say "OH GAWD! HOW SMALL ARE THOSE LEGS!?!" because my sketch pad was on my lap and it decided to bend .. thus giving it a weird look: [hide=Picture one][/hide] This picture isn't as clear as the top one but it's legs aren't small and it isn't cropped. At all: [hide=Picture two][/hide] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah, C/C. My major worries: Shoulder and Legs. And the underarm area. The hands and arms. The neck and torso. Basically everything xD ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
June 15, 200719 yr She looks like her stomach(torso) is a tiny bit too long Also the neck looks little bit too long, basic anatomy stuff plus her right shoulder looks longer than her left (our left) and the stuff you said :anxious:
June 15, 200719 yr Add a little more detail to the torso please  Sorry had to say it Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
June 15, 200719 yr Oh boy, I'd love to shade that body. (sarcastic and serious) Once you get to the shading look through an anatomy book, or website. Best one with muscle and bone diagrams. Some time ago I did a full paper drawing of a muscular arm and thats what helped me the most. (My mom went to med school so I havea pretty good book on anatomy in my possesion)
June 15, 200719 yr The left jug is bigger than the right. Nice Drawing, though, it is a little stretched. (torso)
June 16, 200719 yr Author UPDATE #1 So yeah, I saw a scanner in my brother's room, thought "Woah when did we get that." Tried to look for the installation CD but it wasn't there T__T Crappy camera picture. I seriously can't keep my hand still so most of the pictures where blurry. [hide=Picture of person (With clothes)][/hide] ^ The armor looks more like clothes so might make it a fashion thing instead. Umm I wanted the person to be tall and stuff and not short and dwarfly like how most of my drawings turned out. I don't think I'm going to shade it .. I'll just fix the lineart on photoshop. That'll give me a chance to fix her anatomical problems. She has bandages :ohnoes: oh and you can't see her legs but she's wearing one boot. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
June 19, 200719 yr Author UPDATE #2 [hide=Picture lul][/hide] ^ Her hair is blowing in the wind Lol there's this huge hairy moth next to the scanner so I use my phone instead. Still working on face and the boots look too skin tight. Well everything does, can hardly tell it's armor. I'll probably make the sword be stuck in the ground and add a face. her left shoulder lukes huge ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
June 19, 200719 yr The new one looks better, actualy like clothes, rather then skin with a design on it, or skin tight clothes (be uncomfortable with dragon. eek) Hegemony-Spain
June 19, 200719 yr Author Yeah I prefer clothes being skin tight, looks good I just spent like 40 mins tracing on this: I'm putting the element of sexy into my drawings. What other armors are there? All I know is rune, dragon, addy etc .. I've heard of Veracs, Torags and that .. Okay music influences what I draw. I have a new sketch but I'll add clothes to it because it .. looks wrong .. I was listening to Pussycatdolls - Buttons , that'll probably give you an idea on what I was drawing o.O ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
June 19, 200719 yr Boob area and under the shoulders, possibly all of the shoulders seem really out of place. I think they definitely need sorting out. My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
June 19, 200719 yr You have some serious problems with anatomy going on. I'm not sure if you're interested in fixing them before you continue you on, but I'm just going to give you a couple of pointers just in case. 1. The shoulders: The reason why the torso seems too long is not because the top of the pelvis and belly button are too low, but the shoulders are too high. The neck isn't long enough. If you move the shoulders down a little, move the breasts down slightly, and elongate the neck it will fix the torso length as well as the upper arm length; which is also much to long at the moment and fix some of the problem with the shoulder joints/pecs position. The muscles in the pecs actually wrap around the shoulder joint, right not the shoulders are so high they kind of float. Aside from the positioning of them, the shape of them is wrong. Her left arm and shoulder in particular, it looks like the shoulder joint is completely dislocated. 2. The legs: The top and bottom of the pelvis are in the correct place, but the legs are too short. In general, people are 7 and 1/2 heads tall; some people aren't quite proportioned the same way the majority of people are, but they usually don't stray far from that. Your character is just under 7 heads tall, and all of that missing height is cut out of the legs. The thighs are always long enough, generally the knee falls between the fifth head and sixth, right now her knees are at exactly five heads so they could do to be dropped a little further down. The shins need a lot more length to them, it's especially noticeable when the shins are too short because they are what give the illusion of height and keep everything looking right. I know why you shortened them, you ran out of space on the page, but it's really, really noticeable. 3. Other Things: -The wrists need to be higher, and the hands larger. Hands, if you line up the base of the palm with the bottom of the chin should cover the face with the tips of your fingers reaching your hair line (unless it's receding :P). I have really small hands, and even mine almost reach. -The feet need to be bigger. From heel to toe is about the same length as your forearm; I'm not joking, try it out. Again, I have small feet for my height, but even mine are close to that size. -The joints in the arms are a little odd, I would suggest looking at some pictures of arms and keeping in mind the elbow and the muscles. Remember, overlapping lines suggests that the thing overlapping is closer to the foreground compared to the thing behind it. I know, it seems like a lot. Having proper proportions, before you know enough about proportions to comfortably manipulate them, is a solid base for any drawing. After you have the proportions sorted out, it not only makes clothes easier to draw, but makes them look better. Anyhow, you can keep and discard whatever you want from this, it's entirely up to you.
