I have some questions about the killcount at barrows, BTW, I'm sorry if theres already a thread like this.

 

 

 

1. Does it increase the amout of runes you get, the type, or both?

 

2. Does it decrease the chances of getting a barrows item?

it increases amount of runes a bit.. but dont think if your kc is million, you would get millions of runes too.. just get like 12 - 20 and your doing fine.. atleast ive been fine with that kc :-k

Another theory I've heard is that the higher the kill count the more likely you are to get better runes, but not greater amounts of runes. For example, the guy who got over 10k kill count got every type of rune available from barrows, but a normal amount of them.

If u have like 10 kc u get barrows item in 12 runs and if you have kc 20-29 u get a item in 18 runs.

Umm no - I believe Jagex themselves have confirmed that kill count does not affect items. Secondly, what you said means that the higher the kill count the less chance of an item...

It DOESN"T increase or Decrease possiblity of itemz but DOES give more runes

kc onl affects runes and boltracks. i got 61 kc and 14 kc and got a guthans spear for both hugh and low and theyre the same odds.

Last Sunday evening I did 17-18 barrows runs. Each time I got my kill count up to 25-30 (for the rune and rack drops). In those runs I ended up with Torags Platelegs, Guthans Helm, two Dragon Medium Helms and a crapload of bloods and racks and chaos runes.

I have heard many times that the kill count does not effect barrows drops, but does anybody know for a fact (with proof to back it up if at all possible) if so called kill count affects how many dragon mediums you get? Everybody I talked to that evening said I was just getting incredibly lucky.

4 high level drops in 18 runs is VERY lucky.

 

 

 

 

 

However, 18 runs is too small of a sample size. What you need is about 20 people to post drop logs with their kill counts and try to make some sort of corrolation.

Exactly! I have only done at the most around 40 or so barrows runs, and before Sundays run the best I have ever gotten was Ahrims hood (on my first run ever non the less). For those runs I was only getting around 12 for a kill count and not the 25-30 I was last Sunday.

 

 

 

I always hear people discussing the rates on the barrows items or the runes/racks but I have never heard anything regarding dragon mediums. And I have NEVER in my life ever even gotten a dragon medium drop even off a fire giant after god knows how many kills.

 

 

 

I would like to believe there is a correlation between getting good drops last Sunday and the change in my kill counts, but as you said its too small a sample and it's aggravating me trying to even think about it.
