Runescape on PSP!

Featured Replies

This is what I say. I am writing this on my PSP and I really want Jagex to make a version that runs on Javascript so I can play on my PSP. They could lower the maximum number of players in a world so it won't lag. If you go on youtube you can find a few videos of people playing RS on PSP's but I don't know how they do it. If anyone knows about this, or has some constructive criticism, please post.

"that runs on Javascript"

Yeah.... you evidently know nothing. RuneScape is written in Java. Java and JavaScript are two completely different things. When the PSP has it's own Java VM and is able to support 3D Java apps such as RuneScape then it might happen. But the game screen wouldn't even fit on to the PSP's display. The game screen is small enough as it is I don't think they could make it smaller!

If you could get win 95 on your psp I've heard it works...

Yeah, I'm with you. Websites should start adapting to mobile devices. But as for the Javascript thing, you could use a few lessons on programming languages.

The size of the PSP screen is 480 by 272

The size of the RuneScape windows 760 by 530.

So not only would the PSP have to have Java, Jagex would also have to reduce the size of the game by half (which would make the game look horrible). Not to mention the slow browsing speed of the PSP which would cause an amazing amount of lag.

As for running it on a phone you have the same problems.

EDIT: Having looked into Java on PSP. I can actually tell you it is possible, but not without hassle.

Check this site out. It basically Entails running runescape off your pc, but remote viewing your pc from the psp. So you aren't actually playing Runescape on PSP your playing it on your pc, but using the PSP as a gamepad with a screen.
