oops1644
I'm looking for a laptop before i go back to college, but i don't want to spend a weekend cleaning it from all that stupid trail software. What companies sell laptops WITHOUT the trial junk (or at least as little as possible)? Also, should I just go with a mac or go with Windows? The only thing that scares me from macs is the price ($1,200 + for laptops :ohnoes: ) Never argue with an idiot - it only drags you down to there level, where he then beats you with experience.completed Underground Pass at level 52! Hitman247m
Most companies give you trial software. They say it lowers the cost because of the money they recieve from the companies who own the software.

blade995
Just deal with the trial software and just uninstall it all when you get the laptop. It doesn't take longer than an hour.

Yup, after I re installed my computer I had all that junk + my games re installed within 2 hours. Plus its feels really satisfying knowing that you made your computer neat and tidy. : "A time comes when silence is betrayal" MLKJ Speak your mind, but be civil.Get mad, but do not rage.Do unto others as you would want done to yourself. nomar04
Once you get the laptop, if it comes with a OS disc, make a partition in the hard drive, so if it crashes later, all you have to do is install the OS, and not any of your stuff. Then, you also won't have any trial software.
das1330
getting a business laptop marketed for business (such as a dell latatude) usually contains no or a very small amount of bloatware. Your other option is to get a high end computer from a boutique manufacturer, such as falcon northwest

I looked all over, and all i could find was XP and Vista. (I did get distracted and built a $26,000 comp.) =P~ I still say reformat it when you get it. :-w

Which proves most of the trial software will cover the cost of the operating system.
