22woger22
Hello, what are some profitable creatures that can only be killed with a certain slayer level? Profitable means that the drops are decent and/or common enough to earn plenty of money, such as herbs and runes. I need to aquire some incentive to train my slayer up to a certain level, it's on 25 at the moment. If someone could tell me a slayer creature with good money-making drops that is not too high of a slayer level needed to defeat it - lvl 40-50 range is good. Please refrain from saying dust devils, abby demons etc, as I do not have the motivation to train my slayer up that high :notalk: . Some monster I have heard with good drops are pure ess/herbs from banshees, blood runes from bloodvelds, limps from cockatrices, but more feedback is needed please  Thank you! chenw
Spectres are good too. Plenty of herbs and clue scrolls. Bloodvelds are good for xp, and Basilisks are not shabby for nats and herbs either. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. twr_phr33k
Yeah, Abberant Specters are great herb droppers. Ankous are great death/blood rune droppers. Although they aren't listed as a slayer monster, they are still great for training/profiting at a certain level.
Vaskor
I easily make 120K per hour on Banshees! They drop noted pure essense a lot, plus good herbs and black mystic gloves. Very easy kill (just don't forget eafmuffs) - one of my favorite Slayer monstes. Another easy good one is Basilisk (take mirror shield). Also very easy to kill. Drop very good herbs, nature runes and white mystic hats. Runescape Reader's Digest
22woger22
Does anyone recommend bloodvelds? Apparently they're alongside ankous with the drop rate of blood runes, and they're good combat exp.

They don't drop anything good but bloods and you don't get a lot of them. Expect to get about 80-100 bloods from 100 bloodvelds. Herb droppers are more profitable. Do you sell everything banshees drop, or do you use it e.g. pure ess for nat r/cing or something? Also if banshees are found in slayer tower, where is the closest bank (i;'m assuming you'd have to frequently bank with all the herb drops)? And lastly what armour am I supposed to wear alongside the earmuffs - dragonhide or rune?
Vaskor
Do you sell everything banshees drop, or do you use it e.g. pure ess for nat r/cing or something? I sell mystic gloves when I get them. I make potions from herbs and sell them. I always get 4-5 ranaars from a run, so it is very profitable. As for pure essense, I use it to make nats, but you may very well sell it. Also if banshees are found in slayer tower, where is the closest bank (i;'m assuming you'd have to frequently bank with all the herb drops)? In Canifis. Not very close, but OK. And lastly what armour am I supposed to wear alongside the earmuffs - dragonhide or rune? I wear dragonhide. Pretty much every monster in the Slayer Tower is better to deal with in dragonhide. Actually, you don't have to worry much about getting damage from Banshees (of course with eafmuffs), so wear dragonhide and your best aggressive/attack weapon/outfit (any strength/attack bonuses are plus). You want to kill them quick. Runescape Reader's Digest

Ah I see, that would probably mean I would get about 50-80k if I only sell the drops. -.-
Vaskor
No, I didn't counted pots when I calculated my profit. Only what I get as drops. It mainly comes from: about 50% - pure essense about 25% - ranaars the rest 25% - occasional mystic gloves and other herbs. As I make and sell pots instead of herbs I make even more in a long run. So disregarding further use of the items banshees drop, how much do you earn per hour from selling the items, on average? Thanks for the many replies by the way, you at least influenced me to raise it to 34 currently, and still continuing it  :
Vaskor
Well, here is from my records. Look :-) Time spent: 45 min Drops: 416 pure ess 4 ranaars 2 kwarums 6 irits 4 harrallanders 5 high level herbs (> lvl 62) 14 cosmic runes 17 chaos runes 2 emeralds Total is about: 41600 + 28000 + 10000 + 6000 + 4000 + 10000 + 2500 + 2000 + 4000 = 108K If we calculate from 45 min to 60 min we will get 144K per hour! Note that there are no black mystic gloves in this one, so average loot will be even bigger. Runescape Reader's Digest

OK, so you're at lvl 75 slayer, and you think banshees are the best profit for a lvl 40-50 slayer character with nearly 100 combat?

Very well could be. If we don't account for lvl 3 clues (with clues Jellies would skyrocket) than my list of profitable Slayer monsters is something like this (for lvl 75 slayer): 1. Gargoyles 2. Basilisks and Banshees 3. Aberrant Specters 4. Cockatrice and Cave Crawler 5. Harpy Bug Swarms and Bloodvelds Runescape Reader's Digest
