LordSmiloid Posted July 8, 2007 Share Posted July 8, 2007 Smithing is never fast. I think your two best options are: Use goldsmithing gauntlets and smelt gold ores to bars. You can probably get some merchanting done if you're careful (sell bars for more than you bought ore) and turn a profit. OR Learn how to solo the Blast Furnace. It's a rough process, but doable. For the ideal method, you'll need some GP to start, but after that it's self-sustaining: pay to use the furnace (if you're under 60), buy a load of ore from the smithing store there, smith it into bars, make them into plates, sell the plates back to the store, grab some more ore. Elessar3019 Posted July 9, 2007 Share Posted July 9, 2007 My personal favorite is buying either steel bars or their iron/coal equivalents and making cannonballs. Decent exp, and you make a ton of money if you do it for a long time. You could also buy iron ore and rings of forging and make iron throwing knives. I'm not sure which one's better in terms of exp. perfect grammar is one thing, typing like a drugged monkey and enjoying it is anotherAMEN! Primeaction Posted July 9, 2007 Share Posted July 9, 2007 somehow get 1k steel bars of your own somehow and then trade for 1k iron+ 2k coal+ x amount of gp. this way you get to keep making bars over and over. once you get 550-600k from doing this, buy another 1k of steel bars and make that into steel platelegs (they give the most experience if you make all of your bars into them.) also, you can make them into steel pl8's to sell 1k ea on forums. keep doing this and you will get 70 smithing at a somewhat quick pace Not all F2Pers are beggars or scammers, some are respected members, but these respected people are over-populated by these beggar and scammers.
