klankaos
Lol, very accurate representation of the song there. "Soethingsomething na na na naaa daaa na na"... Anyways.. =D Here's a nice cryptic one for you. Might take a little bit of lateral thinking. Why try? Being immature is a part of being mature. Alan_1134
No idea :S What kind of bass does Geddy use in the video of Time Stand Still?
klankaos
It was Feedback, not really an album, but whatever. =D I think Time Stand Still was the one where he used a fretless bass, but that might've been something off S&A. If not fretless, then it was five-string. Which three live DVDs are included in Replay x3? Being immature is a part of being mature.

Soothsayer
Hi there, I love rush and I was surprised to see your avatar while I was reading some other thread :-) Presto is my favorite rush album. A Show of Hands is from the Hold Your Fire tour. What was Rush's first platinum record? 2112, I think. P.S: Here's a question: which song were these lyrics taken from: "Gears and iron chains" RSN: Bersimon. klankaos
Nice to have someone new to play with :D . That's a toughie, I think it might be from a song I haven't heard. I've tried to stay away from lyrics thus far, but if you want to, have at it  . I'll give a good run for your money. Anyway, 'nother question from me. Let us see... Little easy one for anyone who happens to have read the liner notes of 2112. What is the name of the city where the main character of 2112 lives? Being immature is a part of being mature. Soothsayer
Aw, last time I read the liner notes was some years ago, I can't remember. I hope it's not something as obvious as Syrinx :anxious: The song was Double Agent. Here's another question: Hugh Syme, the guy who makes the artwork for the album covers, plays an instrument in a Rush song. What instrument, and in which song? RSN: Bersimon. klankaos
Ooh, no way, I know that song =( I shoulda got that. And he plays electric keyboards (or violin?) on Losing It from Signals, believe he plays in a couple other songs as well, but can't remember which songs. Good question =D. klankaos
RUSH WAS AWESOME :D Got a tshirt and my sister got geddy lees bottle of water!!! :D LUCKY!!!! I want one =D. I absolutely LOVED the show I went to, it was so much fun! They played a couple songs I didn't think were good 'cocert songs' (Digital Man coming to mind), but they sounded GREAT! And the grand finale (One Little Victory) - simply amazing. What did they play at yours? Being immature is a part of being mature.

klankaos
Sounds awesome, they played a bunch of the same stuff they did at mine. The Limelight opening was pretty good, and YYZ and One Little Victory were awesome. I also loved Subdivisions - they played it really well. I'm sooo jealous of your t-shirt =) Well when Geddy threw it, since it was light and flimsy it didn't reach the crowd, so a security guard tied it together with a bit of tape and threw it, I jumped and caught it! It's like one you can buy from the stalls but Geddy Lee has touched it

Soothsayer
:D Got a tshirt and my sister got geddy lees bottle of water!!! Wow, awesome! :D I saw Rush back in 2002 when they came to Brazil. The new tour looks awesome from the videos and bootlegs I saw. Ooh, no way, I know that song =( I shoulda got that. And he plays electric keyboards (or violin?) on Losing It from Signals, believe he plays in a couple other songs as well, but can't remember which songs. Good question =D. Which Rush album won a Juno for 'Best Heavy Metal Album of the Year'? I think they won the Juno for Presto. Ben Mink plays violing on Losing It, as well as on Faithless and Geddy's solo album. klankaos
Nice one! That always seemed strange to me, Presto's about as far from heavy metal you can go without being classical. BTW, it also won for Best Album Cover. Here's a double question for you: How many Junos have Rush won, and how many Best Instrumental pieces have they been nominated for? (They've never won a best instrumental - stupid judges =D) Being immature is a part of being mature.

Soothsayer
How many Junos have Rush won, and how many Best Instrumental pieces have they been nominated for? (They've never won a best instrumental - stupid judges =D) Hmm I don't know how many Junos they won. As for the instrumentals, I guess they've been nominated for three: YZZ, Where's My Thing? and Leave That Thing Alone. RSN: Bersimon. klankaos
They won nine Junos - Most Promising Artist, Best Artist of the Year, Best Artist of the Year, Artist of the Decade, Best Hard Rock Album, Best Heavy Metal Album, Best Album Cover, Best Album Cover, Music DVD of the Year. They were nominated for four best instrumentals, "O Baterista" (Neil's Rush in Rio drum solo, I believe) EDIT: Not won, was nominated for one as well. Another lyrics one for you.
