I think it's because four (five, if you want to include The Big Money) of the eight songs on the album start with M (Mystic Rhythms, Marathon, Manhattan Project, Middletown Dreams). You can really hear a difference in the band's music at this point - they agreed that Alex should take more of a background role for a while, and bring Geddy's synths to the front. For those of you REALLY interested in Rush, there's a thing called Champion Your Band that assassin_696 and Led-Zeppelin have set up. I'm doing Rush, and I've just submitted my post to assassin.
