Not really sure if this is the right place for this, but, eh.

I was wondering. Members, how long after sending your payment was your account upgraded? I sent my payment via PayPal at about noon, and it's almost 3:30 now. The site doesn't appear to give any information on how long it should take, just that it shouldn't be long. My mother is going out to town in a couple of hours, and I may go with her, but I don't want to go if my account is going to be ready as we pull out of the driveway.

Also, how will I know? Will an email be sent to me? Or should I just sit and refresh the page once every five minutes?

If you have a verified Paypal account, it should take a matter of hours.

Unverified account, it'll take a few days, I think. :(

Er. I'm new to Paypal, so I'm not really sure what you mean. The bank account I'm using was verified, if that's what you mean. Please pardon my ignorance.

Paypal needs to verify whether the account you're using is actually yours.

There's a process you need to go through on the website; basically, they either deposit or charge you two very small amounts of money, you check your bank account, and tell them what they took or gave. That way, they know it's your bank account you're using.

(I forgive your ignorance. :P)

Ah, yes, I already did that. Took five days, two phone calls, and an angry email, but it's done. So now I'm wondering what's taking so long.

Edit: SMS?

I usually pay by phone, it upgrades instantly.

I'm not sure how the Pay By Phone works, but I get the feeling it involves giving out information which I don't feel comfortable giving out over the phone.

I use wallie cards, takes 2 minutes to upgrade <3:

Seven hours later, still no upgrade.

Good way to treat your paying players, Jagex.

It's getting ridiculous. This is almost eight hours. I'm giving them until nine o'clock, then I'll send a complaint about the bad service. I doubt it'll do anything, but still.

Your impatience is the only ridiculous part. Give them 24 hours at least, and find something else to do in the meantime.

well if you have to wait this long, try another method to pay next time but as of right now, i think you are being so impatient because of the excitement to be a member is kicking in. just try to get some sleep tonight

Not all F2Pers are beggars or scammers, some are respected members, but these respected people are over-populated by these beggar and scammers.

It took me exactly 1-5 minutes to log into a member world after I subscribed. I used the Credit Card method.
