barrows, is it worth it?

well, ive done about eight runs today and well im not satisfied with the results... 74 bolt racks were the only barrow related items i got, sure i got like 200 bloods and more minds and deaths for slayer dart but still... i cam for money to make and im losing more than i payed... this seems like a bad investment to me. :cry: i was wondering whats the chance youll get an item that belongs to one of the brothers?

The first barrows drop always seems tough for everyone...

If your combat lv is high enough it will pay off. An actual barrows frop happens about 1 in 18 runs, but the cheapest thing you can get is like 300k.. The runes in the chest will replace your slayer dart runes, and when you finally get a barrows drop, your pray pots will be paid off many times over.

yea, thats the thing tho i use about 3 p pot (4) per run, lvl 56 prayer, and im running out of supply money only 300k right now, hopefully i could get about 25 prayer pots for more runs...

Were you using pray on all of the brothers? You only really need it for dharock and karil...

I have 58 prayer and rarely use more than 2 - 4 doses out of 1 p pot

 

 

 

pray on dhorak - this should only take about 20 prayer points

 

 

 

then fight karil with prayer this should leave u with about 12 prayer points left

 

 

 

then fight arhims with the remaining prayer and with your best drag hide armor..

 

 

 

I then fight guthans - i dose for him

 

 

 

then torag...sometimes i pot and sometimes not- depends on who i have in tunel - also wear best defence armor for this guy

 

 

 

verac - not worth using prayer pot he hits through it, just wear best defense armor, i like using torag set for him with slayer dart

 

 

 

Wow, checked you're lvl's and you should in no way be using that many pots...if u want pm me and ill take you on a trip and show you how to conserve pots......

What method are you using? It sounds like you are going there in mage robes and praying on every brother. With your stats, there are a lot of better/cheaper ways to go. But first tell us what method you use on each brother.

With your levels you don't need any prayer pots at all.

 

 

 

 

 

Get full prayer before you start your run.

 

 

 

Kill dharok with prayer. Mage him.

 

Kill Karil with prayer. Spec him with dds. Then whip him to death.

 

Range ahrim, use the remaning prayer on him. Be sure to wear black d'hide armour.

 

Kill guthan, no prayer needed. Mage him

 

Kill Torag, no prayer needed. Mage him

 

Kill Verac, again, no need to pray. Mage him

 

 

 

Now go to the tunnels. If you have one of the melee bros then make sure you only kill him at the safespot. If you spawn him in a room whitout a safespot just don't kill him. And just go on untill you get him in a room with a safespot. There are alot of safespots in the tunnels, so this shouldn't be too hard. Kill him from the safespot using magic, no prayer needed.

 

If you got Ahrim tunnel, just put on your range armour and range him to death. You might have to eat a bit of food. But you don't need prayer.

 

If you got Karil tunnel. Drink 1 dose of prayer pot. Then spec him with dds and whip him to death.
