You could have like a few dead ogres, then one laying on top of a tree (he knocked it down while he died so the stump of the tree is all [bleep]ey and stuff) :D

a dead dragon or sumthin

Or for something considerably easier, a background of grass with the edge of an area of trees.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pixel looks ok so far, try a little shading perhaps.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

...and define the hat a bit more clearly, there should be a line showing where the brim meets the raised part.

yeh im shading when im done, thanks for the critz guys

pretty good proportion and detail, i would suggest so the hair doesnt get in the way of the eye, maybe make it kind of see through (see it on shows all the time)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

if you wanted to get sophistacted and strain your hands (possible?) a couple of times you could make the leather on the strap.

I was thinking of trying like the duel arena in the bg, since I duel a lot...
