The universe is abundant with metal. Basically, I don't get your logic. Who says that aliens couldn't use metal from their own planet? Heck, who says they have to use metal for their ships (though that is the most likely type of element/alloy/mixture to be used for spaceships from a human perspective)? Maybe they have crappy cameras in that country. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways. But 'UFO's' I don't really believe in. So you want him to, say, buy a bunch of container ships and send them out to the Bermuda Triangle just to "prove" to you that there's no actual paranormal activity going on? That has to be the single most obscenely stupid thing I have ever had the misfortune of reading. Why don't you dig up some evidence to support your claims rather than asking other people to prove a negative?
