For allotments, rake the patch, plant the seed, and pay the farmer. At 15 farming, you can plant trees, which are much easier. There are 5 patches, 4 of which are easy to get to. The fifth is in the Gnome Stronghold. You need 4 or 5 tree seeds (acorns until 30, willows from then on), a spade, a hatchet, a trowel for planting seeds, and the payment for that type of tree. To plant a tree, you need a sapling. Saplings are made by planting a tree seed in a pot bought from any garden store and watering. After around 5 minutes they sprout. Rake the patch, use the sapling with the patch, and pay the farmer. When you come back, inspect the tree, chop it down, and use the spade on the stump. At level 32, you get into the profit of farming with ranarrs. The herb patches are right by the allotments, and the only difference is that you always use supercompost.
