karlpetter
Hello everybody. I am thinking of selling my full dh, whip, d square, torags helm and dragon weps so i can buy full gilded and black cav. I have some money already to make it possible. Would this be a stupid or good idea?
Sy_Accursed
it sounds rather stupid to me It would seem by doing this your gonna sell your useful equipment for a fancy, poor stated armour set Once you have that and no other armour/whips you'll be a bit stuck Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Maxx91
As long as you're not planning on training on high lvl monsters or barrows or whatever you could do it, but keep the whip. Just buy full rune, it's good for training too. Oh, and i think you shouldn't buy the whole set. Just the plate body and legs. Looks very good with legends (or any other white cape) cape, desert boots, mime gloves (or family crest), sara book, plain white hair (or white phat :-w) and some sort of white weapon.. karlpetter
okay, i guess i should not sell it then. i might buy just a black cav tho.
coza_17
Your idea sounds absolutely stupid. I'm pretty sure guilded and such other useless items were supposed to be for the rich (not that I'm rich either :P). I think you should keep all your stuff as it is essential for combat/slayer and make some cash and save for full guilded if that's what you really desire. Celestrana
As the other posters have stated, buy your equipment for function, not fashion. Selling off high-grade equipment to buy low-grade equipment for an incredibly huge sum of money is definitely not wise! This sounds a lot like a RS friend of mine in that he has frequent bank sales of the junk that I pass on to him -- black warhammers, steel boots, rune pickaxe etc. -- so that he has money to buy expensive equipment that looks "cool" to him like a granite shield or obsidian cape, but he'll never really use it because he doesn't want to lose it. Don't get me wrong though. There's nothing wrong with buying expensive equipment but make sure you're not spending money on a ridiculously over priced item that will do you no good in a battle. Remember: function before fashion. Especially when you find yourself selling off your entire bank to buy a measly item. elementz_m
looking at your sig, i assume that you enjoy the combat aspect of the game. if so, keep all your best sets for fighting in. the gilded would be a huge step down from this. if, however, you are hoping to come away from the fighting side of things and maybe work on some other skills, you may prefer the 'better-looking' armour. i have good armour in the bank for fighting high-level monsters and the rest of the time it is definitely fashion before function for me.
