Dark bow or Mage Short?

I'm trying to get to 80 range, and was wondering what would be better drak bow or mage short.

I've never used or experienced the dark bow, so dont really listen to me, but..

 

 

 

if your just using it for exp, and arent to big on cash, mage bow with bronze or iron arrows, itll take longer, but itll get you were you need to go

 

 

 

dark bow is quite expensive im assuming, but unless your using top arrows like rune or dragon, i wouldnt really recomend it

 

unless your gonna take it to like, massive strong monster that need to be hit with constant 20's

 

 

 

or, if you have completed the roving elves quest, the cystal bow is a nice idea to train with, depending on what your training on, it may or may not be a smart choice finacially, since you have to recharge it and the first few recharges cost up towards 1mil

 

but, you dont have to worry about arrows, which is a niiiceeee thing :thumbsup:

 

 

 

so pretty much..

 

if your on the more pinched for cash side, mage with bronze or irons

 

if you got the cash, go for dark bow

 

if you finished quest and feel like recharges, go for crystal bow

Ye, I've easily got the cash, I just want to know which would be better for training xp wise.

although you can try putting stats in a calculator and figure out how high you can hit with mage and dark bow and stuff, and see what would fit you best

 

 

 

i have been hearing alot about rune crossbows lately, i hear they're getting really strong, especially with higher up metal bolts and enchanted gem tips, you might be interested in looking into that, maybe?

I think Dark Bow would be better, since it has a very high range bonus. But I've never tried the db, so I wouldn't know.

If money is not an issue go with the darkbow. Use iron or steel arrows with the accumulator from the animal magnetism quest. It will be worth it using the dark bow...

MSB no doubt.

 

 

 

I used both and the msb wins easily exp wise. Only use the dark bow for the spec. if you want the ranged bonus, just use a rune xbow. The dark bow is just too slow, more than 2 times slower than the msb.

rune crossbow with iron/ bronze bolts

 

this hits higher than mage short with a slight speed decrease.

 

Also has a higher range bonus.

It depends on what you like. If you like a slow bow, but with a nice range attack bonous, the Dark Bow is for you. If you like minimal range bonous and a faster bow chose the Mage Short.

Darkbow! It hits 2x as fast as a norm bow and hits at LEAST 5 per arrow

 

 

 

It actually shoots two times as slow as an MSB, but shoots two arrows per shot. :|
