Tell Me If This Is A Bad Idea...

Featured Replies

Well you see my stats, and before I do this I'll be getting 52 prayer, 70 mage and 55 slayer. I want to do barrows. Ill be wearing, at least until I get used to barrowing, a granits plate and a d skirt. #-o Oh and using slayer dart of course. Will this work ok? What should I bring in my inventory? Thanks! :)

Lol wrong thread...

You'll do fine with those stats. I started doing Barrows at 90 Combat, so at 97 it should be easy even though you're new.

Lol what are you on? This is H&A and I need H&A... <.<

And how about some tips like when should I pray, what should I bring with this set-up.

Here's what I did before I got used to doing it

Armor: Helm of Neitiznot, Rune Plate, Rune Legs, Boots of Lightness, Slayer Staff, Dark Gloves, Legends Cape, ~75 Mith Arrows, Glory, and Rune Defender

Inventory: Spade, 2 P Pots, Dhide Body, Dhide Chaps, Magic Short, Whip, 400 Minds, 100 Deaths, and the rest food

Dharok: Protect from Melee and Slayer Dart

Verac: Same

Guthan: Same

Torag: I didn't use pray on him but you can if you want, and Slayer Dary

Karil: I don't use Range Pray, but you can if you want, and Whip

Ahrim: Switch to Dhide, Mage Pray if you want, I didn't, and Range

In the Crypt I always got 15-20 kills meleeing

Thanks! :D

protect from melee on dh all the time...same with karil is what i do (prayer on the others if you want). i usually bring 5 p pots and some lobs you should be fine

You really don't need any ppots, unless you're unlucky enough to get Karil in the tunnels. Here's how I do it:

Dharok, Karil, Ahrim, Verac, Torag, Guthan.

Pray, Melee/Mage Karil (depending on stats, if you have high attack then attack pot and melee) Pray. If it runs out, so be it. Range Ahrim. Mage the remaining 4.

As for gear, I wear torags body and legs, neitznot helm, slayer staff, mystic boots, RFD gloves. I switch the torags for black d-hide for Ahrim, equip a mage short and rune arrows. I use a whip for the tunnels and Karil when I melee him.

^^ Saruman gives a very indepth guide on how to barrow using every, and I mean every, well-known method.

Personally on my first-fourth barrows runs I did, I used about 5 p pots a run. Thats using the rune method. Then when I got use to it I used about 2 or less a game.

Your first run its all about the p pots and food. Trial and error.

Apparently, my signature was to big.
