Big car shows are often in convention centers etc.

If you intend a car show setting you might want

a. more lighting

b. more cars.

Throwing a bunch of lights around the scene will do nothing but disrupt it. Having more cars will defeat the purpose of the image.

My point being, there are multiple light sources when you go these car shows, so there is no real "correct" light source. There are highlights all over, so you can't really say something like, "The light source of the guy isn't accurate with the light sources implied on the car."

I was just at a show on Sunday, and alot of the shows are at Drag Strips. The "showoff" part of the show is in the parkinglot, while they had quartermile races, burnouts, and other contests on the actual track. Sure, some are at convention centers too. I go to a different car show every week all over Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas, including a local one that's here every Friday and Saturday... I'm not trying to disregard your criticism; I'm simply stating that in this regard it isn't necessarily one of those things I'm going to go back and fix.
