August 9, 200718 yr I think in the dual arena there should be a way you can fight a "bot" with similar stats and equipment as you, and the reward could be whatever you set it as, gp only, 10k limit. They have similar inventory, so say your gonna use mage and you have magic, they will use whatever the highest spell you can use out of the runes you have in your inventory against you, but wont use spells you can't use yet. If you have mind runes, fire runes, earth runes, and air runes in your inventory, but only have 11 magic, they will use Earth Strike, and not Fire Strike. Also if you have food in your inventory and you don't turn food off, they will use that too, as though it were a real person. What would be neat if the AI could "evolve" so that it knows when you would eat, knows when you would use a spell, or knows the prayer you would use. Maybe even fight the "bots" of other players, to see their strategys and how they fight! Quality posting at its finest.
August 9, 200718 yr its a good idea but there are some problems you shouldnt be making money fighting a copied you and it will be hard to copy your skills
August 9, 200718 yr =P~ yayayayaya! sorta like fighting your dark side. \  range- 69/70 ~ currently poor but with good stuffstrength- 64/70 ~go461-combat 71~
August 9, 200718 yr Well looks that using this way I can finally find a match. lol. good idea, but i say it should be slightly better than you. Beating yourself will make it easy money, and making it easy to raise lvls to, since if u die, well u just die and the match is over.. Making it very easy way to get xp without the penalties of dying. August 10, 200718 yr Make it a real duel. Instead of whatever your inventory is, you put something up to stake, with a 10-100k limit. You can lose the item(s) if you die, or gain the item's general buy/sell average back if you win. There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience.
August 10, 200718 yr Author Great input guys, i decided to add to my idea When you go to fight it, you will get a choice to fight either a direct clone of yourself, for no reward a clone with a 10% increase in stats, for max $10k, you still have to put up 10k a clone with a 20% increase in stats, for max $100k or a clone with a 25% increst in stats, for max $250k minimum level to do this is 60, because im pretty sure 25% of 1 is 1, so otherwise bots could make lvl 3 chars and horde the place with lvl 3 vs lvl 3+25% battles and make millions Im not sure how a guy with maxed stats would go about this(like they need to) but an automatic "super pots" would be used on the bot and be perminent throughout the fight, so it still has its increases Quality posting at its finest.
August 11, 200718 yr So if you changed equipment would the clone change equipment? Cause you could go in with full bronze or something then switch to whip or veracs or ancients and get a lot of cash quick. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.
August 11, 200718 yr yea..sorry dont think it would work that well... you would have pures hording the mirror just to make money on them selves and i say the bot should be stronger by like 5-8 levels. and have some healing assortments with 2 pots. and if you die you loose your stuff. IGNORE THESE FOUR WORDS
August 11, 200718 yr Author I guess that could work the first couple times, but if the ai "evolved" it would know to use the best armor or it would automatically equip it, cause like magic it would use the best it had in its inventory Quality posting at its finest.
August 11, 200718 yr Bad idea. If you keep on winning you are actually making quiet alot of money, but instead of winning money that has been made by someone else you actually win money from a bot. It's hard to explain but if you duel someone now the money just moves from a character to another charactor, the amount of gp in rs just stays the same. But if you duel a bot you actually win (if you win) money that just comes from nowhere, just like alching. So if you'd release this the inflation would be huge and prices of everything you can think of would crash. Secondly there's not this factor involved that your opponent doesn't dare or doesn't want to stake a certain amount of gp, simply because it's too much. If you release this into rs you could just put up any amount of money and stake it (off course you should have that amount of money you want to stake yourself as well). So you could just stake 100k, if you lose you stake 200, lose again stake 400k. And so on, people who stake usually have quiet alot of millions so they could do this alot of times, and eventually they will win a time where they actually win back what they lost + profit. It's kind of hard to explain but let's keep it simple, this totally unstabilises the rs economy.
