August 15, 200718 yr Ok I've a pure and I want to raise my magic. I don't really have a goal I'll just quit with it when I get bored and do something else for a while to pick it up afterwards. I want to do this by using high alchemy and some Mage training (the mini game) other suggestions are welcome too  . Now my question is what can I high alchemy? I'm doing yew longbows. Just buy the logs, flax and natures. Are there other things to high alchemy? I've heard green d'hide bodies are ok, you lose a bit money but not that much. If you know some advice you could give, post it, but try to keep it reasonable... I'm not very rich. And calculations are apreciated... Oh, before I forget my skills aren't worth that much :? . -I'm close to 63 crafting now. -81 fletching I'll be 86 when I'm done with all my yew bows. -Smithing 37, I can make cannon balls to break even. -My current magic level is 66, I'll be 77 when I'm done with high alching these bows. Can't think of anything else usefull, if you need more information, just post your question... Sorry for the bad picture but I hope you can see my stats (after you clicked it). Edit: If anyone wants to explain me some more about pictures cropping and posting personal message me (not in runescape).
August 15, 200718 yr In f2p I high alch hard leather bodies. If i have 300+ nats from drops i buy the bodies from the general store in al kharid (theres always loads) for 51gp, then alch them for 102gp. Bear in mind this only works if you got the nats for free (drops or runecrafted them yourself).
August 15, 200718 yr You might consider alching magic longs. You can buy all of your magic longs supplies and a nat for 1gp less than their alch value (1100 per magic log, 150 per bowstring, 285 per nat). Since you don't have the fletching level to make the longs yourself, you can always trade your supplies for longbows (this is an easy trade to make, just post to the forums). If you buy flax and spin your own bowstrings, you'll make a decent profit per bow. This, of course, assumes that you don't really care about leveling fletching and it is best to have 5 - 6 mil cash on hand as magic logs aren't cheap (not sure if "not very rich means" makes this method a stretch).

Oh, that's a good idea and when I'm done I'll have like 12M. So 5-6M isn't a real problem. But even If I lose money not too much of course, it's still fine for me. I'm mainly looking for some variation in training and making things so I don't get bored. And advice like this is very much apreciated.
August 15, 200718 yr On a pure wouldn't you want to maximize your hitpoints? I suggest training with ancient magicks in PC. "We will certainly not be gaining money or members with this update. Instead, we are doing this for the good of the game, which is as dear to our hearts as it is to you."- JAGEX, December 13, 2007
August 15, 200718 yr If you are creating a pure I would suggest not high alchin as I would think you would want to get your hp up! :-k
August 16, 200718 yr Author Since I almost never use pest control my pure has a decent hitpoint level... And I'm not getting ancients yet, maybe later, just trying to get a good magic level.
