Well, I voted that it was worth it. I've both a pure account and a skiller. It took me quite long on my pure to train to 85 ranged. But still, think about the other people who like to train woodcutting, fishing... They can train now without bots and sell at reasonable prices. It's not all about pking although it was fun... Also there's still bounty hunter, solo pking is very hard there, I know. But JaGEx said they're working on a solution so people can still pk without a team. I hope they'll keep their promise and make it something decent. And they'll have the time for it now, since bots aren't such a big problem anymore. I just hope that they can make the pkers and skillers happy in the long run.

Al-Kharid has the closest range to the bank. Or you could go to Lumbridge bank. Take a tinderbox and fill the rest of your inventory with food. And then light one of the logs that spawn outside the bank. I think this is closer to the bank then Al-Kharid but you'll lose 1 inventory space, people pick the logs up and on a fire you burn more.

The cheapest is to buy willow logs at the Grand Exchange. I don't know what the price is now, but it won't be very expensive.

How many people actually have died so far? Last time I checked the news it were like 32... Because of fights with the police.

There were gold farmers before who mined runite. So after the updates I thought: "Yay! No more real world trading, no more gold farmers and more runite for me..." Well I was wrong #-o . As soon as I get to the runite rocks I see like 3 players fighting for the runite.

So this means that members can get a higher combat then non-members? That's going to be weird... Anyway I can't wait till it's release, althought I'm not a member.

Weird you're complaining that pking wasn't such a big deal and not that great... But you've never pked? How can you judge about that? And also I think the people who do quit are as strong as the ones that stay. It's hard to quit a game where you've spended your spare time for so long, even if they removed your favourite part.

Oh in that case I'm not sure if 5 strength is worth it. You'll probably hit like 1 more.

Erm... For what are you going to use this defence thing? If it's for monster hunting or something like that, balanced skills are better. Or you could become a tank ranger/mage. And for staking it isn't worth the effort anymore.

Does anyone know what they drop in non-members? Not that I can kill them, just wondering...

This is what I wrote on a general discussion thread... I tried it again the bount hunter thing. Just in the hope it wouldn't be that crowded anymore. I killed 2 level 90s they were easy because one was using a steel 2 handed, and the other got piled while I was fighting him. He dropped like 2 rune scimitars and I could escape with 1 of them. But these 2 kills aren't worth it. There was no fun hunting on them. It just didn't give the same feeling like when you knock someone out. And everytime I went in to hunt I got piled and needed to exit. Then before I could enter again there was this 30 second delay every time. Don't know what the use is, but ok it's fine for me. About 5 minutes ago I was going to give it another try and then log out after I killed my prey. So I go into the area and start running around, close to the edges. When I'm suddenly piled by a level 80+ clan. I got killed :evil: . Under normal circumstances I wouldn't be that annoyed with it. But now I just got owned by some random hobo team who wanted some stuff... The pixel greed isn't normal in there, as soon as you enter you get piled, attacked. Since they keep on getting pixels in this easy way they'll keep on doing it and ruining it for the people who want to play the mini-game. Some people say pking isn't meant to be as a money maker, well now it's. There is no fun in just humping on 1 target with like 10 people. To me pking is dead, I hope they just change it or at least improve the bounty hunter arena.

I don't judge updates before I've used them. So I went online yesterday and read all the announcements and went to Tip.It for some discussions and stuff. Some people were already complaining like usually, the official rant forums got flooded also like usally. I thought it can't be that bad, so I went to check it out. I logged in on my pure, and went to the bounty hunter area... Once I got there it was pretty crowded, and it looked like it was popular. Yeah popular for the 1 itemers -.- . As soon as I completed the toturial I went to the medium leveled cave, my pure is 61 combat. I got a target and thougth lets get him. So I took my first steps away from the exit cave and saw an arrow on the mini map. I ran in that direction and saw the guy that I needed to kill he was 92, I'm 61. How am I suposed to kill him? Even with defence it's not that easy. When I got closer he suddenly took the exit, I had no idea why... Till I got piled by some level 80-90s. It was a 1 itemer clan. I took the exit as fast as possible. And my first thougth was, pking is dead now. After this I tried several times to get in and to play the mini-game like it should be played. That didn't go very well, everytime I went inside I got piled by some high leveled guys. So far I've always been capable of escaping, but when you go deeper and you get piled by some guys that have nothing to lose in multi-combat you're pretty much dead. Certainly with 1 defence, but even a level 60er with an average defence is in danger. Because you're automatically skulled and everybody can attack you, they'll do everything to get your pixels. For the people with 25 prayer, pking is more alive then ever. But for the true pkers, no, not only pures there are main accounts who like it too, pking is dead. It's still possible to kill people but when everybody has like 1 item and uses prayer there's no more challenge in the fights. Now you'll lose anyway, you'll waste food, have a chance to get piled... Oh and before I get comments on my pure and things... It took me 3 years to train it and I enjoyed it (Name: Aegis Titan, check him if you want). The stupid part is that I can't use it anymore in the way I liked. It wasn't made for the pixels, or calling other people safers and stuff... The pking was just for fun, and the challenge. It's a challenge because you can die, or you can kill your opponent and gain loot. Monsters can kill you or drop loot too but they're pretty safe to figth with. And the fun comes in if you get some nice loot or fougth a good fight. The old wilderniss had it's downsides too but those aren't as bad as the bounty hunter area. I think they should've split it up in more areas and not drop the level 100s between the people with 55 combat or higher. In the old wilderniss you had those guys too, who only used 1 item, but it was less common. Another thing is you didn't have to enter multi-combat. Edgeville pking is way much more fun, 1 on 1. Of course there's a risk too to get pile jumped, but again that's only by 1 person and in most cases he's in your combat level range. Not like a group of 90s... So I need to admit I'm dissapointed about this update, but we can't really blaim JaGEx as the only ones. Those gold farmers and the players that buy the gold are the disease, JaGEx just made a mistake when they tried to cure it. And the dissease isn't extinct yet, they found another way for real world trading, now they're just selling accounts, accounts with money on... And a thing I hadn't heard yet was that they offer to train and gain money on your account for real money. The only thing you'll have to do is give them your password. Or at least that's what I read on the official forums. Although I think they've killed quite some real world trading or ways. So my only question is, was it worth it to harm the players that play in a honest way? I hope it's in the long run, that's what moderators said too. I guess I just have to wait and see. But for now I won't be spending my time in the bounty hunter area...

I think the one in Varrock castle and in the northern part of the city are Saradomin altars.

This is going to mentioned alot, the stronghold of security, on the minotaurs. Or maybe the hill gaints in the Edgeville dungeon. There aren't that many good spots in non-members :( .

I think it's 1/3th of the strength experience or experience from any other melee skill. For example, you hit a 10, that's 40 strength experience so you'll get 13,3333... hitpoint experience. Although I'm not sure if this is correct :? .
