I don't suppose anyone else has caught this show in the past? Daft Punk's stage show is, in a single word, amazing.

I was there. I'm still on a high from it.

Oh, and, if you wanted to catch this show (that is, the pyramid), you can't. The Sydney show was the last time they ever perform it.

Is that really the last pyramid show?

I love Daft Punk. I got to see them at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. 2nd greatest show ive ever been to in my life. The energy was amazing and so much dancing!

Yeah, their manager announced that after the Australian tour it's finished forever.

So, what was your 1st best show?

It's been on my to-do list.. guess I can cross it off without completing it :(

Any AFI show (even though ive seen them 10+ times)

I've seen the show as well. 4 July this year. A friend phoned me the day before that he had one ticket left, and gave it to me. It was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. The prymid, with the lights, it was an experience close to the one I had when I saw 2001:ASO for the first time.

Lol, it's gonna be like that for me soon enough.

Alive is the setlist, by the way. Even though they play it differently every show, the structure and sequence is the same.

Damn, that was their last show? They were playing in my town in June as part of a festival I went to for the friday night. I wasn't into them then but i've just been getting into them recently.

Ah well, their music's still great :)

"Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

I got Alive 2007 for Christmas. It's just about the sweetest live (electronic) record I've ever heard. Gotta love that French house.

I wish they'd come up with some new material, but still, Alive 2007 will be blasting out of my stereo for months to come. :D

The last of this show, they will probably tour again with an all-new show.

Edit: Ahh here's a good pic, you can see what they are working with:

so is they're entire set just done on electronics? thats cool and all but it doesn't appear like it would be an incredibly hard music career, maybe one I should take :D

Ah, that's alright then :)

Why do you think that they're not like instruments you must learn to know? It's not like they have an "on/off" button that they need to press, and then it comes out the way it does.

Exactly. It's all done on-the-fly, they bring in loops and samples as they are performing.

Although after playing the same show for almost three years you'd expect it to become second nature..

I heard they use Ableton Live and a number of Macs, yet they somehow remotely access them...what was I reading??

No idea but that's pretty cool, I use Ableton but I'm sure I only scratch the surface of its capabilities.
