Some questions about quick firemaking...

Featured Replies

Hello all of you, since a few months i decided i wanted to have 99 firemaking. I know it's only 53, but i have 11 k willows and 1.2 k maples and 800 k that i was going to spend on firemaking. i've been cutting yews lately to earn some money to buy willows in rimmington general stores. But i checked the gs's in several worlds, even in world 1, but they all had around 300 willows with the price of 36 gp. But i always thought they were 12 ea and that there were like 30 k of them in stock. Does anyone know if the prices has been changed and why there are so little logs? Can it be with the store and player stock update?

To sum it up, bots are all but gone, which means we have nobody to sell all their willows to general stores anymore.

The cheapest is to buy willow logs at the Grand Exchange. I don't know what the price is now, but it won't be very expensive.

yeah, either buy in G E or cut and burn.

Ill check the prices out, if they're to high, i'll cut enough yews to buy dragon axe, cut enough willows at barb outpost and burn them all

(i wanna have 99 woodcutting too)

EDIT: i just checked them, they're around 18-22 ea, and that's just too much, i know i'll probably pay more for the axe, but like i said, i want 99 wc too, so the willows exp is welcome

The cheapest way to get your firemaking up is to keep it up with wood cutting. go burn lots of willows , like about 2 k , and then start cutting tons of yews. If you get about like 10 k yews you can get it to at least 80 i think O_o...

I reckon maples are relativly better than willows... about double the exp, and only 45-50gp each, while those willows in general store are 36 :? .

True considering , i am f2p , im just giving him my method :)

if you're p2p, you should do the miscellania quest and royal troble, deposit like 2m in coffers and wait 1 week, you should get like 7k maples

Maples are 1.5 times the exp of willows. :D

But maples are still more effective.

And there are two things why the general store willows don't work anymore : No more bots and the shop update : Player stock prices are prices set by Jagex (should be GE price, but I guess not...)

That was to stop RWT like selling santa for a few gps and buying it for a few gps.

The fastest way for firemaking in f2p is either to buy it from the Grand Exchange and burn outside of any bank, or buy them from the Rimmington General Store and burn along the southern border. I find the Rimmington area to be a not-so-bad area for firemaking as there are usually several hundreds of logs sitting around in the general store, which costs 12ea. If you think that prices are too high, then the only other option is to chop and burn willows.

Good-luck. :D

i don't know if u read the second post cause he says that there are no more auto's in runescape, so they dont sell their logs to the general store anymore,

so ow there are like 350 willows and they're 36 ea. But i'll see what i do, maybe i get 99 woodcutting first by cutting yews, then with the money from the yews i can buy enough wilows/maples for 99 firemaking.
