August 16, 200718 yr I'm about to get high alchemy, but i'm not sure what to high alch. I was thinking steel plates, but i could get a much larger profit from just selling the steel bars. What's the most proftiable thing to high alch for non members? ...and are steel plates a good idea?

August 16, 200718 yr Well their mainly bought from crafters in bulk, it doesnt really matter what your alcing as long as your only paying about 100K or less per 1k alcs, thats about how much it is unless you dont want to lose money at all, then you could make your own steel plates or something. August 16, 200718 yr I got told if your to buy green leather that to break even or make a profit, you can only buy them at 1.525ea. So if your willing to make losses then go for higher. Steel plates if you make them yourself is a good idea. Yew longs also

I buy my nats so i make 468gp prof cause im only 38rc. :P P2P offers more and better ways of making money than f2p. August 16, 200718 yr You might consider alching magic longs. You can buy all of your magic longs supplies and a nat for 1gp less than their alch value (1100 per magic log, 150 per bowstring, 285 per nat). Since you don't have the fletching level to make the longs yourself, you can always trade your supplies for longbows (this is an easy trade to make, just post to the forums). If you buy flax and spin your own bowstrings, you'll make a decent profit per bow. This, of course, assumes that you don't really care about leveling fletching and it is best to have 5 - 6 mil cash on hand as magic logs aren't cheap. edit: Whoops, you're not a member! Sorry.. :)

How do you high alch those? You craft the green dhides into green dhide bodys and then alch. I've forgotten how much they alch for though, long time since I've done Green Dragons for cash :-k
August 17, 200718 yr high alching on F2P is a very expensive way to train mage. You would be better off casting failed curses, or fire strikes, or even using teles. It is hard to find a big stock of steel plates, and rare to get more than a few rune meds. If you have a few thousand nats lying around that you just want to get rid of, then by all means high alch feathers :)
