Ishiaru
I'm about to get high alchemy, but i'm not sure what to high alch. I was thinking steel plates, but i could get a much larger profit from just selling the steel bars. What's the most proftiable thing to high alch for non members? ...and are steel plates a good idea? Italian5kamikaze
Well their mainly bought from crafters in bulk, it doesnt really matter what your alcing as long as your only paying about 100K or less per 1k alcs, thats about how much it is unless you dont want to lose money at all, then you could make your own steel plates or something. skeroh
people also high alch rune meds too. they usuallly buy for 10k in bulk. i don't know how much you get from high alch Retired from runescape. nightwolf06
I got told if your to buy green leather that to break even or make a profit, you can only buy them at 1.525ea. So if your willing to make losses then go for higher. Steel plates if you make them yourself is a good idea. Yew longs also

That's one of the cons you just have to play with if you don't feel like having 1 bigmac meal less per month.

Platinum_Myr
They buy yew longs for less than 760 gp, then high-alch for 760ish gp. So pay 600gp each, then alch them all = profit Maxed since Sunday, January 9th, 2014Completionist since Wednesday, June 4th, 2014
Embraced
Cut your own logs, fletch them, pick flax and make bs, make your own nats = 768gp profit each time. I buy my nats so i make 468gp prof cause im only 38rc. :P P2P offers more and better ways of making money than f2p. viral_wulf
You might consider alching magic longs. You can buy all of your magic longs supplies and a nat for 1gp less than their alch value (1100 per magic log, 150 per bowstring, 285 per nat). Since you don't have the fletching level to make the longs yourself, you can always trade your supplies for longbows (this is an easy trade to make, just post to the forums). If you buy flax and spin your own bowstrings, you'll make a decent profit per bow. This, of course, assumes that you don't really care about leveling fletching and it is best to have 5 - 6 mil cash on hand as magic logs aren't cheap. edit: Whoops, you're not a member! Sorry.. :)
Slayer_Jesse
uh, guys, he said he was F2P but like they said, buying green dhide bodies or alching steel plate you make is best. Zang
Yea I like the idea of buying your own nats, possibly buying the flax and spinning wouldn't be bad.
coza_17
Depends how much your buying the steel plates for lol, Green dhide bodies are something else you can alc too. Green dhide? Arn't those rarely seen in shops and such? How do you high alch those? You craft the green dhides into green dhide bodys and then alch. I've forgotten how much they alch for though, long time since I've done Green Dragons for cash :-k
alcoolj
high alching on F2P is a very expensive way to train mage. You would be better off casting failed curses, or fire strikes, or even using teles. It is hard to find a big stock of steel plates, and rare to get more than a few rune meds. If you have a few thousand nats lying around that you just want to get rid of, then by all means high alch feathers :)
