Okay I lose connection non stop cant go 5 minutes without it logging me off its got to the point I'm ready to quit cuz I cant get anything done. Its 2007 dell with dial up it was running fine for 4 weeks Ive been playing again but now it wont work. I did virus scan and spy ware scan deleted all the incidents but still wont work is there anything I can do? Or should I just quit altogether and another thing is runescape wont work with anything other then 26.4kbs connection not even with a 32+kbs connection even tho its better please help

ok im gonna try to the best of my ability to help (im not a computer expert though)

 

 

 

1. Use low detail (obvious)

 

2. Use CC cleaner, it helps me a ton when my comp randomly turns off, the pop-ups on tip.it have some bad stuff that virus scans dont pick up.

 

3.lose dial-up, that's the best thing robably, might solve everything. Losing connection is when you dont have internet connection with jagex to play (i think)

You say that you have done a full virus and spyware scan, presumably with the most recent updates, which is good.

 

 

 

When you say you 'lose connection' are you referring to your machines connection to the whole internet or just the connection to the game?

 

 

 

I would recommend that when you are playing Runescape, you shut down any browser's, Instant Messaging programs and anything else that could use your PC's connection to the web.

 

 

 

It would also be a good idea to check the physical connections between your machine and the phone socket. Some extension leads are generally not suited to using dial-up internet, also you might want to see if other housemates are trying to use other phones on the same line when your on the internet. Someone picking up a phone whilst your on the internet will generally mess with your connection.

Have you contacted your Internet Service Provider? Your telephone company? Sounds like you have a bad connection to the net now. I've just gone through this with AT&T. My phone and DSL service provider.

well i keep getting a thing to update scanner but i click later so i should try that.

 

 

 

I lose connection to the game in the upper left hand corner i get black box saying lost connection then it goes to log ins creen 15 secs later.

 

 

 

I dont have any I M programs and dont use any websites until im done with rune scape i check otu tip.it
