Goldenjkered
I'm going to try and train to 100 combat at ankous, and at the moment I'm using d scimmy. Problem is, the spec is horrible for the scim, and I was wondering what other weapon should I take to use its spec. Here are the options: Dragon Mace: Increases Strength, but decreases attack for that hit (25 % of spec bar) Dragon Dagger: Hits Twice with increased attack and str (25 % of spec bar) Dragon B Axe: Increases str stat by 20 %, but decreases attack, defence, magic and range. (100 % of spec bar) Dragon Long: Increases str for that hit (25 % of spec bar) Which one should I use? phata_elise
I always use the d battle axe spec. Then drink a sip of a normal stat restore potion to restore your def and att lvls to normal. These pots are really cheap (harrander and red spider eggs) and the combination gives you a massive strength boost for faster killing. If you don't feel like getting the restore pots, you can try the dds. But I prefer the battle axe spec.

Gin_and_Tonic
K, thanks for the advice guys. I've decided to use d b axe, but without restore pots. Have you considered buying regular potions and using the Camelot Sword special? Or combat potions? Cammy sword spec is brilliant if you dont have guthans or bones to peaches. I have guthans, so I'm not to worried about defence. davidium
actually it depends on what monster you are killing too...if u are hunting those big ones like fire giants and their ilk using the dragon hally spec is usually quite effective too, can hit over 50 quite often with jus 81 str. if you are hunting a monster with a massive amount of health like dragons then perhaps poisoning them with a dds would be useful... maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
