This -is- a girl, but the face looks like some wierd male rock star 'cause I did it all shadowy, and couldn't add any girly features to it. -___- She is acutally Shiina Ringo, although impossible to tell other then the beauty spot located on her left upper mouth area. XD Ringo no Uta is a song by her and translated means "The Apple Song"

Thanks you two ^^ I don't htink I can move onto doing huge backgrounds yet, this is only my second digital painting of a human person XD So I'm not that good at it yet. I'm still practicing though -- I might even have a go at that night elf there, I needed some more ideas anyways. XD

8/10 Nice job, I like the theme too.

Awsome, great use of colors throughout the pic. I had no trouble or doubt recognizing the gender of the person in the pic, and the head looks very realistic thanks to those few but good colors on it.

Looking at it, I don't even particularly love it or anything. XD It's just one of those art pieces which I spent quite a long time on, and it looks pretty decent in my eyes (but it doesn't mean I like it all that much, the style is so...dark and everything. I go more for the happy art. o.o) so I thought I'd post it anyways, just to see what reaction I get. XD

The last bg really works well, and makes big difference to the piece. I like the overall work. I don't know if you intentionally left the shading off of the mic for the most part..I would almost firm that up a bit more, but perhaps you don't want to distract from the rest of the work.

Yeah, the first BGs were just dead BG's that I put behind so I could see what I was doing with the sleeve, it being white and all. XD

 

 

 

I actually made the whole mic stand darker on the last one, because it was sticking out of th whole piece, and I also blurred it more -- I'm not sure how to make it look proper. >_< I blurred it to try to get it less distracting, because before I blurred it, the moment I looked at the picture my eyes would zip right to the mic/stand. O.O

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love this contest, it's given me an incentive and a kind of inspiration (your christina aguilera (I think it's her) picture gave me the most inspiration XD) to do stuff like this. ^^ I'm painting another on tuesday, I have tonnes of homework to finish tomorrow XD
