These are three short stories I created, chronicling the adventures of Jonas, a simple miner from Falador, who answers the call of Saradomin.

CHARACTERS

 

 

 

Jonas Silversmith - The hero of the story.

 

Marie Silversmith - The hero's wife.

 

General Wilhelm Frederick - Commander of the Misthalin Army.

 

Lieutenant Gunter Frederick - Wilhelm's son.

 

Priest - sent by Saradomin to solve the crisis. Sorry I didn't give him a name!

 

Otto Erbot - The bad guy. Say his name out loud. See what I done there?

 

Saradomin - Yep, you read that correctly.

As the sun set over the Crafting Guild, Jonas smiled. It had been a good day for his silver and gold business. Despite the rock golem attack earlier, nothing much had happened. As he packed away his ores, Brown Apron and Rune Pickaxe, he couldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t help but notice a lot of people clamouring around a yew tree.

Chapter Two ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ The Automaton Army

 

 

 

The next day brought with it howling winds and biting cold rain, but Jonas still had a job to do. He packed his lunch, kissed Marie goodbye, put on his leather raincoat and left. On his way, he took some ores out of the bank. For today was smelting day.

Jonas was out of breath by the time he reached the Varrock West gate, having run the whole way. As he approached the gate, a guard ran over.

Jonas awoke to the sounds of many voices, intermixed with the sounds of horses whinnying, weapons clanging and marching feet. He got out of bed and looked out the window. Down below, he saw the Misthalin army preparing to assault Falador. The generals were going over their plans and the soldiers were deep in prayer.

Otto Erbot moved through the ranks, casting as he went. Everywhere he pointed his staff, soldiers fled, allowing Otto to kill them at will. Nobody dared challenge him.

 

 

 

Nobody, except Jonas. He barred OttoÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s path.

Hours later, the Misthalin army was cleaning up the mess. They were taking away their wounded, burying the dead, and rescuing captured Falador citizens.

 

 

 

Jonas, on the other hand, was being treated as a hero. As he walked through the large crowd of people, shaking hands, he saw two familiar faces at the gate.

 

 

 

It was Marie and the priest. Marie ran and hugged Jonas, while the priest called for everyoneÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s attention. There was a sudden silence.

Chapter One - Memorial

 

 

 

The snow flakes appeared to be dancing in the breeze that swept through Falador. It was time for the Fourth Falador Snow Festival (which takes place every seven years), but the Falador residents werenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t celebrating.

 

 

 

They were mourning.

 

 

 

For it had been three years to the day since the march of the Automaton Army. The records state that over three hundred Falador citizens died when the Automatons (referred to as ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâAutosÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ by some residents) attacked Falador.

 

 

 

And so, the residents were gathered around a statue of Saradomin in the park, deep in prayer. The only person speaking was the priest.

On topic- Not a bad story, however a bit, hmm how shall I say this? Basic..

 

The whole 'Simple guy goes about his days untill the arrival of a superior force. The death of a loved one by this new enemy causes him to seek revenge, so the gods/god make him their hero and thus, he alone has the power to.. Blahblahblah, you know what I mean..' plot has been used many times before..
