I have been trying to do some serious training over the last few weeks....

 

 

 

I am currently training my range...lvl 61 currently

 

 

 

I am 70 att, 74 str, 60 def.......combat lvl 85

 

 

 

 

 

using red d hide set , mage shortbow and iron arrows.

 

 

 

Fighting mossies on Crandor at the moment.

 

 

 

Seems sort of slow even though there is loot and bones.

 

 

 

I am wanting to get to lvl 70 Range for black d hide and I will prob. move on to another skill.

 

 

 

 

 

Is there a better spot for my lvl.(s) that I could get to 70 Range quicker?

Ogres By Castle Wars i got 65-70 in a day I think and 53-70 in 3 days.

 

 

 

Good seed drops and easy to safespot

Fire giants under waterfall are ownage range exp. Just go to the west room and range them 2 squares east of the suit of armor. It will be great trianing, prayer exp, alching exp, and free cash. They drop rune scimmys fairly often. Check out the Bestiary if you want to know what else they drop (dragonstones, dragon left half, rune arrows, half keys, fire runes, big bones) and more but these are off the top of my head.

I hate range and did it at PC. Tons of people use their PC points for range.

If your using iron arrows go for tzhaars, if your using knifes go to experiments. fire giants arent so good exp, fire giants only if your desperate for some cash and a small amount of exp :thumbsup:

Ankou's on the bottom level of the security stronghold. one of the most underated monsters for range. i camped my pure there from 62-70 and got over 2k deaths and 2k bloods. plus its fast exp.

I must say I agree with Kemikalkadet, Ankous are great to train on and they sometimes drop clues level 3. :)

 

 

 

Experiments are good xp but often crowed, and they don't drop anything.

 

 

 

If you like to train on mossies for their fairly good seed drops, the small island west of Karamja is a better spot than Crandor (much faster banking with ardougne teleport). If you have access to the ship to Lunar Island, try Pirate Cove.

 

 

 

Steel arrows or knives would be slightly faster than iron ones, but a bit more expensive.

Hm, if you want fast, easy xp, use Iron Knifes on Rock Crabs up on Waterbirth Island.

 

 

 

Just camp there in the spot where three respawn, and if you dont mind about wasting the knifes, you dont need to pay attention as you wont need to pick them up.

 

 

 

They'll basically never hit you, so its definitely fast xp and with little effort. \

I have started at the fire giants with steel arrows and sort of slow...not getting many arrows back it seems.

 

 

 

 

 

I thought about the Ankous, but wasn't sure of safespots and if I could handle it with my stats.
