WutangFlu
does your laptop have DVI, VGA, or HDMI output? if so all you need is a cable to run from ur computer to your monitor/television i think, and then you press a certain button (control+*something*) on a mac. I don't know about Windows.
Joes_So_Cool
I have no idea, I have an Acer Laptop if that helps at all. Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
bakou2
Most laptops have cables you can buy that connect your laptop to a tv. Check with a place that sells Acer stuff. Joes_So_Cool
Alright, would Staples be a decent place to shop at for this "Cable" you all are talking about? Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
bakou2
it might, i have no idea. I've never heard of Acer so I don't know who carries their stuff. You could call their Acer's customer service maybe and see if they know which retail stores would carry their products. A new study shows that 98% of teenagers listen to emo music. Mamong
Well, I've connected my Toshiba Laptop up to a Plasma Screen with no problems. As for acer, I'm not sure where you would get accessories, but I'd say you would probably get a universal cable, they wouldn't be brand specific. My cable plugs into my laptop monitor spot and then into the TV, I'd say yours would be similar. Take my advice, and change your resolution when you go to your TV. Mercifull
What TV you have is more important to know than what computer you have. It might have a built in AV socket to plug into or it might not even be able to be used as a computer monitor. Randox
Here is a picture of HDMI outlet (the one in your computer. You should only have this on a computer that came with windows vista (game consels have them to, among other devices) as XP can't hanndel the high-definition thing. S-video is also a possibility on some graphics cards, and using this you could get addapters to havdel a TV that only has a coaxial input. Heres what an S-video would look like on your laptop. I woudl also guess that there are addapters for a VGA output (its blue, 15 holes) to S-Video or the 3 colour cables (forget there name).

Mercifull
Just tell us the make and model of your laptop and the make and model of your TV. We can look up the right information. das1330
or if possible post pictures of the sides and back of your laptop, with a clear shot of all the ports. From there, we can recommend a cable you can use, and a place to buy it from on the internet if you tell us what country you are from. also, if possible get a picture of the ports on your tv, for the same reason.
