I've been working in vue for the past few days (plan on getting theakman2 to help me out with buildings this weekend :D) but i've just been working on getting some nice landscapes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mostly that means the atmosphere, and terrains/textures that work. Although i haven't 100% done the atmo's or terrains yet (been mixing/matching up stuff, or adding stuff) It's a start :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyways, i thought this one was kind of nice, i'm going to render a biger, higher quality version once i get the chance as well :)

I'm hoping on improving a ton on these this weekend (i have had literaly no time to work in vue over the past few days) and of course, learn how to do buildings, so i can do stuff like a shack in the mountains, well, i have quite a few cool ideas i've done realy quick conecept sketches at school about :D

It looks very dull and grainy. Maybe thats the file compression used or possibly because of the lines on the rock im not sure. It doesnt look right. I mean at first glance i thought of the nevada desert but there the rocks are very rough and well.. rocky. Your image looks like a sand castle after the waves has gone over it. at first i thought WOW but when i read the other posters i noticed too that it's a bit too smooth, maybe add some hard shapes to the rocks so that it doesn't look like sand castle watered down. :D

That is true now that i look at it. I might try and mix that Texture with a rougher rock texture, to kind of get the overall feel of a rougher kind of structure.
