September 10, 200718 yr SwiftSwitch. And it is perfectly legal now, although Jagex advises against using a third party client. They're just trying to protect us from keyloggers; however, everyone I know that uses SwiftSwitch has never been hacked once. That's a good sign, wouldn't you say? Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
September 10, 200718 yr wish it wasn't legal... ss-users lucked out that day I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
September 10, 200718 yr Swift switch is not illegal. Jagex did ban it for a day, but they then reversed the ban under the condition that SS make some modifications to get rid of some unfair advantages (such as being able to open up the window of a world that is full). As long as you're using an up-to-date version of SS, it's legal, though I personally don't use it. You can find loads of information, such as mini-guides I have written, my laws, and links to my stories here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=696442 This is a link to the story Council of Oblivion: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=695628
September 10, 200718 yr Slowly, slowly, the official RS client assimilates the features that drew players to alternative clients. Switching? - check, the official client now has a switcher, and any permitted 3rd party switchers cannot be any more powerful. Chat channels? - check, official client now has channels. Next step, maybe, is to merge the map viewer, and have a client or client page window onto the KB, hiscore etc.
