September 13, 200718 yr Umm, im a bit confused, fill me in as to what that is, is it a scam?(the example you put up) I suppose you could call it a scam. :P But really it's a keylogging program- one that can steal a player's password and with it their account. I wouldn't suggest clicking on any unknown links until they are confirmed by an official staff member(mod, super mod, admin, site crew, ect.) not to be a keylogger. Staff members are trusted users of tif; on the other hand not all users can be trusted, even if the author claims he had "scanned" it. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
September 13, 200718 yr Umm, im a bit confused, fill me in as to what that is, is it a scam?(the example you put up) The file that was supposedly clean most likely contained a few RS helper apps, calculators, maps etc. However, once you execute the program, it drops the keylogger onto your computer and grabs passwords and the like. The quote in the first post in this topic is exactly what the user posted but with the offending link removed. It's to help users identify if they downloaded this executable or not, so they know if they are infected.

Not only that, the "file" you sent me was a screenshot of the application, which I can do nothing at all with.
