Chapter 11: A sister's plea part 1.

-Falador, the inn one year in the past-

Ranguvar felt older than she was. Ever since her beloved brother left, things had gotten worse. Her back, damaged from the push Hylean gave her, gave her lots of pain, but she couldn't rely on Mr. Hintak's good graces while she slowly recovered, and besides, she was the second to last waitress left. The Faladorian guards had taken, part for medical treatment, part to question her for everything she knew about her brother.

They had released her only after they were sure they couldn't get anything more out of her. She had collapsed into Mr. Hintak, who was worrying just outside the guard house. She slept most of week, something the guards had done just exhausted her, she didn't know, neither did Hintak. Eventually, she was able to awaken herself and her body. She then got to work.

Another punk wants a beer from the pretty barmaid...

-present day-

Ranguvar felt terrible. It didn't hurt to move anymore, but it was tiring to though. More and more, people had come back, and barmaids, so she was removed to her previous post on the second floor. There was fewer people, but they drank more. She was really the only barmaid in the whole of Asgarnia that was qualified to deal with the patrons there.

Suddenly, a man hugged her. She spun around, already beginning to cast the air blast spell. Her father, however, grabbed her wrist and let her realize who it was. Her eyes widened and she grabbed his shirt, hugging him, crying at the same time.

Mr. Hintak, who now perpetually stayed on the second floor to watch over the rougher customers, motioned her to sit down, the other barmaid brought drinks.

The Seer waited while his daughter went over everything that had gone on since she had left him in less than pleasurable circumstances.

-Flashback! (one month before the first chapter)-

"YOU don't understand me! Why can't I go out with him? He's the most powerful warrior, even rivaling you!"

"Erm... there's morality issues... I don't care how powerful he is, its just not right."

"That's not fair! I'm off! Running away!"

"Daughter... normally that kind of thing is a surprise."

"Well! Good bye!" Ranguvar ran off into the night, far away from Camelot.

"Hylean! Come here!" Hylean promptly came, newly 18, he had a great confidence that was only matched by his father. "Listen, I don't know why, but something is distressing your sister, please go after her secretly, and tell me what she does. Be careful, puberty has made her emotionally unstable."

Hylean nodded, and ran out after his sister. The Seer sighed and looked ahead, this would end well.

Hylean caught his sister outside of Camelot, crying. He grabbed her shoulder gently, at the slighted touch she spun around and shot out an air wave, decimating the tree behind Hylean. Hylean, using superior evasion skills, got behind her and grasped her neck, immobilizing her body except for the head. She slumped down and began to cry.

"Whats wrong, sis? Its not like you to wear your emotions on your sleeve? You can tell your brother."

She mumbled something only Hylean could here.

"I couldn't hear that, but I assume that its something I can fix. Love?" Her head spasmed and she began to say something. "I know that you want to be married to the most powerful warrior there is. One who is brave and strong and willing to be true to you. My father has sent me on a lot of missions. You have just stayed at home and practiced magic, so you don't know the world yet. And there is no one more powerful than our father, at least in this point in time. I once asked him, and he said yes, the most powerful warrior the world has seen will fall in love with you! Whatever you want to do, I suggest you wait. patience sometimes can be the greatest virtue known to man."

Ranguvar thought it over. Hylean kept talking. "Now, for me, Dad is trying to get me to meet this girl from Falador, not that I have anything against her, I just want to meet that special girl on my adventures. I think we both need a time away. In fact..."

Rangvra interrupted him. "I'm sorry for acting like a child, but I don't think the future has me staying here. Daddy has manipulated me once to often. I think I'll become something he despises." Hylean flinched and braced himself for the worst. "A barmaid!" Hylean released his breath, not as bad as he thought. "Can you take me to Falador? I don't have my law runes on me!"

Hylean teleported and he escorted her to Mr. Hintak, who was happy to have a very magically adept, though underage, barmaid for the rough second floor. However, he had security issues, the poor man would not be quiet with his profuse apologies and what-not.

Hylean walked out into the street. Waving one last time, he considered going to the address his father gave him. It wasn't to late, he could go over to the house and meet the girl. Someone bumped into him, causing him to drop the paper. The girl his age mumbled sorry and ran off, going towards the gates. Leaving? At this hour?

The address lost, Hylean departed toward Camelot, walking this time.

-present day, Falador bar-

The Seer listened to everything she told him, feeling remorse for not being able to be by his children's sides in all this. But a seer must allow his children to show their true colors to grow up. However, these series of events could not allow him the luxury of watching, he had to act.

He told her what Hylean was doing; it came as no surprise to her, Mr. Hintak had sources on both sides of the war. Saradomin would never take him back, and Zamorak only accepted him because of his ability. One wrong move would bring the wrath of both gods on him.

Ranguvar nodded, she would go deep into Zamorakian territory, find Hylean, and bring him back, or, at least talk him out of fighting in the bloody war. Grabbing the runes that her father gave her, she teleported deep into the newly-named Wilderness. Dressed in her father's gift of full splitbark, she walked toward the camp.

She hid herself, looking for a lone Zamorakian. Ahha! There's one! She immobilized him, then grabbed him from behind, dragging him off, she questioned him.

"Jahhajjahhaj! Puny feemal tink she can queston Kinnin? Me tink dat she has death wish!" Kinnin laughed at her again. Ranguvar waited before replying.

"Despite your speech, I know you are quite intelligent, now tell me where Hylean is!"

"Jahhaj! Why should me teel u?"

"Maybe you'll live to fight another day, and, I'm his sister."

"Haj? He never toll I dat he haad a sis! Weel den, we go say 'im den?"

"Maybe, what's he like?"

"Weel, rite noow he be talkin to prisonar o' wor, she reel pritty, reel pritty stupid! Jahhajjahhajjah! Anywy, we's needs to moove fasht! He be in touble, Jano want heem dead!" Ranguvar felt her heart skip a beat.

-

Hylean had finished talking, and now it was Alexia's turn. Due to his constant feeling of being watched, he did not notice Jano's shadow behind Alexia. He had listened to everything, he was outside the tent. The commanding officer didn't like him either.

Whoa! Take one step back, slide to the left! And do the cha cha slide. Now that you're done. I will tell you something.

Yes, if you recall, Hylean smashed her away with such force that she broke a table.

Ranguvar loves him greatly, however, she misunderstood that for romance, which only she has. puberty... you should of seen the things I did (and do) under the effects of puberty. Hylean has always, and will love his beloved sister, but it is most certainly not romance. Ranguvar got over it almost as soon as Hylean reached her.

It never turned into incest. They are just much closer than the average brother/sister. And incest is not love, it is lust.

Hylean will only love Alexia romantically.

Quintuple post! That's not something you see everyday...

I haven't actually read the whole story, just skimmed through it. I'm reading it right now...

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Holy freaking cabbage, quintuple post. . . Must be that stupid bug with posting. Or else you pulled an idiot. Or a laggy computer.

Chapter 11: A Sister's Plea, Part 2

Jano removed himself to the Zamorakian commander's chair. A cruel thing, it stood nearly as tall as a man, and was perpetually inhabited by demons. One of which actually occupied the seat. It was Deathmonger Hero-eater, personal executioner to the Zamorak general Cona, and the slayer of countless heroes from the dawn of humanity. Around him were many soldiers, half demons and other such monsters, looking at this intruder with the respect that comes with a superior fighter. They nodded their heads, not daring to look him in the eye.

"I come with... tidings." He said, without pomp or respect to the demon.

"Well? Flesh sack? What does my powerful warrior have to say?" The demon mused, then, reaching out, he grabbed a handy nearby prisoner, and, beginning at the feet, ate him all. "Yes, what does the powerful warrior have to say with so little respect? Indeed!"

Jano looked the demon straight in the eye. "We have a traitor. Not dangerous yet, but he could be soon. Ensign."

Deathmonger waited, normally, he would kill the soldier right out, but Ensign was way above his level of power. "So? If he isn't dangerous, I won't fight a warrior like him, you know what he can do. I've burned cities, raped women, flayed men alive and killed heroes who had slain greater demons than me, and yet what he does, and how he does it, scares me. Well, we all know he is general ranked! What can I do about it?"

"He has recently acquired a new girl. She will undoubtedly be forced to see us battle, for her, of course. I want you to change the judgment, so that I deserve her. If he really wants her, he will fight me. I can defeat him." Jano spoke without cockiness or surety; he said it as fact, which Deathmonger fervently hoped it was.

"Very well, this will prove a most cruel battle." The demon sunk into his chair and communed with the trapped spirits.

-Hylean's tent, just outside the Zamorakian encampment-

"Jaaj! Ere we's! Dats Ensign's... ar, Hylane's tent. Dats it! Don espect all da peoples ere ta be soe nice." Kinnin left, hobbling along, looking around for any potential spies.

Ranguvar went in, to find him embracing a Saradominist soldier! "Dearest brother, care to introduce us?" She said, she didn't mind really, but still, he could have mentioned he had a love interest!

"Certainly, this is Alexia! And I'm going to help her escape so that she can lead the Army of Saradomin here, for a surprise attack."

"Hello, so you're Hylean's sister, he told me a lot about you."

"Well, anyway... Daddy says come home at once, things, if they continue, will risk everything you have, or will, hold dear. The future, though not written in stone, will nearly be the death of you."

"I know... but I've come too far! I need to help end this war!"

"Hylean, your sister may be right, I would hate for you to die too. Like everyone else, it seems." Hylean merely nodded.

"I'm too powerful to be killed by anyone who has less than a general status. I will stay here and tell the Saradominists myself. I want you, Alexia, to go with Ranguvar and stay in Falador. I think you never really were a soldier..."

"What?! And stay home, become like my mom, lethargic and over-violent?"

"Eh? No, alive, and then we travel a bit, fighting or whatever you desire."

"ALRIGHT! ON YOUR FEET! HIS DEMONIC LORD, DEATHMONGER HERO-EATER, ARRIVES AT YOUR TENT FLAP!!!" Yelled the stentorian shout of a powerful sergeant. Deathmonger came in instantly.

"Ensign! I have come to tell you that your claim is invalid. That girl belongs to Jano, unless you'd like to fight him for it, good! In one hour, main ring, that girl goes with her too, heh, like brother and sister, this should be fun." The demon left without a word.

Hylean couldn't find a word, but he was white as a sheet. He couldn't have the same leverage he had when he planned for the two to leave. He would have to win even at the loss of himself.

Chapter 12: Savage Jano

Ranguvar and Alexia had been roughly grabbed by some handy Zamorakian soldiers, one happened to be Kinnin. Grabbing Ranguvar's hands, he yelled something incoherent that caused the Zamorakians to laugh. The one known as Rakkan grabbed Alexia's arms and whispered something into her ear.

"Jaahaajh... you just caused a lot of trouble for Hylean..."

Ranguvar was quite surprised, he wasn't speaking in an accent, but his weird laugh was the same.

"Jahajahajahaj! You're surprised? Well, you were right, I'm much smarter than I sound. Hylean gave orders, if he is to lose and you cannot escape, I and Rakkan there are to kill you. You would not want to be in savage Jano's clutches. He is not one for subtlety in those matters."

Ranguvar started, and she noted the same startled look in Alexia's eyes, thought she hid it better. They arrived at the field, Hylean, soon fully prepared, joined them. He squeezed both their shoulders and entered the battlefield.

Hylean was an impressive site, his rune armors glistening in the dim sunlight despite the clouds, he wore no helmet. He unstrapped his halberd and laid it across the shoulders of his armor. A dagger hung loosely in a sheathe at his side. a cape billowed a little in the breeze, as he awaited the savage Jano

Jano was not long in coming, rightly guessing the Hylean would bring as many of the soldiers allied to him as he could, he brought everyone he hung around in the camp. His armor was dragon hide, with claws attached to the vembraces. He had snakeskin boots and also had no helmet.

They both went into their fighting stances. Hylean crouched, Shoulders and arm tensed to attack at the slightest chance. Jano went down like an animal, and a bass drum was heard, beating a war-like rhythm, raising his blood.

And then they rushed at each other, stopping at the last second, and dodged around each other, or, that's what it looked like to the observers, thirty-odd seconds later, they separated, and stood very still.

Hylean ran to Jano, using his halberd, he attempted to take him at a distance, failing that, he withdrew it from the strike. Jano ran under the halberd, stopping for a second, and Hylean and Jano started to attack each other so fast that it didn't even look like they were moving. Hylean had his dagger out as well, striking as fast as he could. Jano slashed wildly, trying to destroy Hylean's face. He was blocked several times, then started to assault his chest. At the end, they jumped back, and stood still, eyes daring the other to move.

To the two captives, it looked like nothing had happened, then Kinnin whispered in his ear. "Jaaaahh... Your brother has it!"

Jano laughed, and started to move his arms, laughing even more, he moved into a combat position. Hylean didn't move.

Suddenly, cuts burst on Jano's flesh, causing blood to fly everywhere. Hylean moved a little and shavings of Rune armor started to fly off in all directions. it moved up his arm and his unprotected hand became slashed, blood dripping out of it, hand now useless, he grimly smiled.

"I won, Jano, you can't go on, half of them haven't even opened yet."

"Nonsense! Ack!" More wounds appeared, this time on his chest and shoulders. "Heh! I know what you are though. So, it doesn't matter if I die now."

"Your death would be a vain sacrifice. You have no magic capabilities, I am magically enhanced, perfectly balanced warrior. You have lost, accept that."

"No! You plan to sell us out to the Zamorakians. I heard you talking to that stinking Saradominist prosty! That's all she is! Seducing you to give into the weak Saradominist credo!"

Alexia was about to shout something when she was stopped by Rakkan, who who had neatly gagged her while her mouth was open. Kinnin had done the same to Ranguvar.

"Thats all good! When the girl sleeps with you, gives you pleasure, gives you satisfaction. And you betray us! You'll be the death of us all! ... And you can't be man enough to kill me for all I said just now."

Hylean had taken it all in quietly. His face was down, allowing no one to see his face. "If you had betted on that, you would have lost." Hylean looked up, a vampiric smile on his face. His eyes glowed and radiated power, while nearly invisible tendrils protruded from the back of his head.

"You can talk about me any way you want, in fact, you have, but no one, NO ONE INSULTS MY LOVED ONES!" Hylean disappeared, then reappeared in front of a paralyzed Jano. "Killing is so much tastier this way!" Jano felt something being forced out of him, then, he felt himself floating away. As he was about to consider himself dead, he was wrenched back into the physical plain. What remained of his soul only registered great pain before it winked out of existence.

Hylean looked around, then saw some of Jano's cronies starting to take up arms to fight him "YOU"RE NEXT!"

Rakkan and Kinnin grabbed the girls and ran as fast as they could. They had seen him like this, but never, ever this angry. It was very scary, if they had stayed they would not have survived.

-one minute later-

Hylean sat in the middle of a battlefield, a giant boulder had been displaced on a demon, a head was stuck on the back of a chair its occupant headless. A body here, an arm there. Really, though the ground was torn up and blood was every, the dirt a red mud, there was very little actual corpses.

-in the forest-

Rakkan and several others huddled around a campfire in the middle of the forest. Ranguvar and Alexia had joined, no longer captives, the comrades of Hylean made it clear that it would be safest just to stay with them.

Hylean walked up and sat down. Alexia was first to move, sitting on her haunches, she stared him in the eyes.

"May I ask what happened to you? I've never seen you like this."

"..."

Ranguvar got up too and moved next to him. "Brother, please, I've never been so scared, not since Grant Nif tried to touch me. You nearly killed him, and his family. When did you lose control?"

Hylean hung his head, he could no longer look at them. Alexia and Ranguvar hugged him at the same time. The other occupants of the fire turned away, Hylean was the strongest, he could do whatever he wanted.

They spoke in turns. "I... it doesn't matter... I forgive you for what you did so long ago... what you fought for, because, in the end, you fought for us... and, I like the brother you are... I love you, Hylean."

Hylean heard and he couldn't move, his soul, feeling dirty and unworthy of their unconditional love he shared. He couldn't let himself... Why were their hearts more pure than his was? Why couldn't he let himself love Alexia, every other fiber of his being did...

He collapsed, the power he had used had exhausted him.

"Hylean!"

Note, for this chapters, several parts were inspired by musical themes: Green Goblin theme: Spiderman 1, Dr. Octopus theme: Spiderman 2, The theme in Castle in the sky when the robot thing rescues Sheeta, and the theme for the BARC troopers from the animated Star Wars:Clone Wars, among other famous/well written themes. Stand my Ground from Within Temptation also deserves a mention.

Chapter 13: Blood and Guts, Part 1

On top of a tree, a dark figure watched a sleeping camp, he was facing the moon, so they could not see him. He was Cona, Advanced Scouting General of Zamorak, to give him his title. He had finally found his prey, and he could tell where they would go. He wasn't just any general of the chaos god, no, he was a Majharrat! More powerful than the average human, he had a slim build but was the strongest in his castle, the cruel towers of Blood and Guts. A spear was held loosely in his hand, and he sat cross-legged on the tree with a quiet confidence of a master warrior.

-Hylean's camp-

Hylean woke up in the arms of Alexia. He felt surprisingly refreshed, but the breath of Alexia was not smooth, labored almost, like in the grip of a bad dream that one cannot awaken. He didn't want to disturb her though.

Rakkan walked over, he had sensed that Hylean had awoken. He smiled, signaling Hylean with his hands, he began a conversation in military sign language.

"[it seems you are well now, its been a tough three days.]"

Hylean's forearms were free so he signed back. "[What happened?]"

"[if only you knew. The only reason were still with you is because you are the strongest.]"

"[What happened?!]"

"[We've been hunted for at least two days. We've been carrying you for that long at least. It's been really tough on your two girlfriends.]"

"[Well, as soon as its morning we'll move out. Get all the rest you can. You'll need it.]"

"[What? You see the future now?]"

"[i will eventually.]"

-Morning-

Hylean woke with Alexia, surprising her by jumping up and pulling her up with him. It was odd, even though he had decimated and slaughtered over a hundred soldiers, he felt happy. She merely slumped against him, mumbling something about carrying her for a change. He roused the rest of the camp, and they moved out, with Alexia on Hylean's back.

It was a wonderful feeling day, the sun was out, the clouds were no where to be seen, but the birds did not sing...

"Ambush!"

Soldiers jumped out of hiding places in trees and bushes, surrounding them. Alexia and Ranguvar, both now being carried by Hylean, roused themselves and became battle ready like the rest of the party. Suddenly, a dark figure burst out of the trees, Hylean felt a sharp, precise blow at his neck and collapsed, paralyzed. The figure jumped about, dodging attacks and magical blasts that came from every which way. They were all defeated.

"Take the girls! Leave the rest! They won't find us! Move out!" The soldiers obediently and expeditiously took the hostages and ran.

"Oh! If only you knew! How much trouble you caused! I won't kill you! But you'll wish I had!" He walked away. He trusted his minions to not stab him in the back, but to keep two young, pretty female hostages unspoiled, was another story. The towers of Blood and Guts were impenetrable, Hylean would give in to Lord Zamorak's will!

-nightfall-

Hylean woke up with a start, where were Alexia and Ranguvar!?! He nearly paniced for a second, but he quickly calmed down within seconds. His allies woke up soon after he did, one look at their leader meant only one thing, they were going after the girls.

Tracking them was easy, Rakkan could see the tracks and damaged foliage so well he didn't even have to focus. Hylean knew it was too obvious for them to think of secrecy. They reached the towers, Blood and Guts!

A high tower, with another, but smaller, behind it. They were completely black, not even the sun alleviated the sheer despair that emanated from them. Slaves and soldiers milled about, seemingly just running every which way, but their was some perverse purpose in each and every one of them. The sky had great, dolorous clouds, threatening rain, but never actually doing so. The towers stood out for their sheer blackness against that dark sky. And around the towers were flames and forges, all manners of desolation and industry.

Hylean sighed... it would have been easier to just... but it held greater risk. They would have to storm the keep. Hylean would be darned if it wasn't the tallest dungeon of the tallest tower.

-Tallest dungeon of the Tallest Tower-

In the tallest dungeon, nearly six hundred feet up, sat two very miserable females. Two of the most brutish and ugly guards known guarding them brooked no conversation. They spoke without words, fists often doing the talking, soon, Alexia and Ranguvar had welts and bruises from the fists of the guards. Everything but the barest of clothes had been taken, no chance of escape under their own power, all they could do was huddle together and hope that Hylean could reach them in time for whatever their captor's plan's were.

well, thats the single biggest inspiration of my writing. The music lets me get the feeling and the character's fighting style.

For example, Beserk Hylean was indirectly inspired by Dr. Octopus theme.

Alexia, was inspired and toughened up from her original form from Gil Colin Graham's Alexia, the protagonist's wife, Alexia. who was inspired by a particularly beautiful piece of Classical music I heard once. Gil Colin Graham rewrite will be my next project.

This particular arc in the story was inspired by Stand My Ground by wtihin Temptaion

and Cona was inspired, by 1. Zacon from the RPG, and 2. the Green Goblin theme.

this is really old and probably wrong but

the crescendo of yells and screams got louder and louder

im really bad at grammer but isnt that sort of redundant since crescendo implies getting louder and louder?

  • Author

well, you see, its crescendo, which means loud, chaotic noise, (also a music term... using a really old dictionary), its loud, chaotic scream, that continues its loudness. Heightening in decimals!

oh...I see, not trying to argue with you but the definition of crescendo is gradually getting louder unless you are using some metaphorical view then i dont know. but a good word to use there would be 1. din 2. cacophony

Chapter 13 Blood and Guts, part 2

Cona stood on the battlement of the tower of Blood, relishing the moon light. A soldier came up to him and whispered in his ear. Cona smiled, why were heroes so easily predictable? Why did heroes have to be... heroic? He lifted his arms and smiled, then, he jumped off the battlements. Falling, he snapped himself out of his mood, then floated, using repetitive air rune magics.

He found he had stopped outside of the cell that the cursed son of a majharrat's girly friends were. He looked into the window and ripped the wall from its spot, grabbing the girls, he let himself fall, unharmed, to the ground.

-inside the tower of Blood-

Hylean ran about trying to find Alexia and Ranguvar, but he could not, until he found a conspicuous cell, namely, it had no back wall. He looked out and saw Cona holding the girls in either hand, taunting him.

"Come and get me, Majharrat!"

Hylean should have been puzzled at this, but he wasn't, he jumped, loosing his halberd and dagger. Cona laughed and leaped to meet him in the air; the clash was tremendous, but it was soon obvious who was most powerful. Hylean couldn't move as he felt the flesh being torn off him as Cona attacked. He did not stab, but used the sharp point to flay Hylean alive. Finally, he had enough, a quick smash and Hylean created a crater in the ground.

But Hylean knew when to retreat, Cona was gloating, but he would not stay that way for long. He grabbed and absorbed as many runes for telekinetic grab as he could and used it on Alexia and Ranguvar. Summoned to his side, he grabbed more than enough runes for teleport to Falador. Cona realized that he was about to disappear and cast his spear at Hylean.

Hylean teleported as it reached him, nearly throwing off the spell, but he pulled it through.

-Falador-

Mr. Hintak was taking a walk for his nerves, and he felt much calmer, then Hylean, Ranguvar and Alexia suddenly appeared at his feet. It didn't do him any good. In a state of nervousness and funk, he was somehow able to help Hylean up, who, in spite of blood loss and a spear in his chest, piercing a lung, could stand.

A couple of the waitresses of the bar, now accustomed to his screaming, helped him drag the trio in.

-next day-

Ranguvar and Alexia woke up to crushing pressures at their waists, the reason why soon apparent. Hylean was with them on the bed, with a giant blood stain and hole on his chest and naked waist up, not to mention the death grip on their waists. They both fairly leaped out of bed before they knew it. Then the realization set it.

"Hylean!" Alexia yelled, Ranguvar merely teleported. She rushed back to the bed, and grabbed Hylean, trying to remember what to do. She couldn't wake him up so she merely let herself collapse on his chest.

"Out of the way!" And the Seer came in. He had heard the news from Ranguvar, who followed.

"You're Hylean's father!?" She jumped back, astonished.

"Yes, now shut up!" The Seer was irritable, this would be tough.

Chapter 14: Malevolent Skies

The skies were cloudy, dark brooding, malevolent, even. Alexia was sitting on the roof of the inn, looking up, hoping she could just see through them. Hylean's father had yet to leave the room. She could feel the magical energies coming from the room. The inn was closed, as Ranguvar was too distraught to wait tables, and the rest were scared of Hylean, they remembered what he had done a year ago. Mr. Hintak wasn't any better, nervous, seeing the Falador guard in every shadow.

Her head ducked down, letting rain pour on her, she felt it proper. She looked up as someone caressed her shoulders as a coat was put on her, For a second, she saw Hylean, but soon realized it was the Seer.

"I don't want to heal you too, colds are very hard."

"Can I see Hylean now?"

"You're a good girl... I knew I had seen right, no, I want to talk to you for a bit."

"Is there anything you want?"

"Not really, I just wanted to talk, about you and Hylean."

"I love him... And I don't want to hear you can't be together..."

"You can't be together, yet."

Alexia looked at him, starting to say something.

"Don't say anything and let me explain something. I healed Hylean physically, but spiritually, he is immensely unstable. That spear was a Majharrat's special attack, like Hylean's and mine Magical Emperor, and it does a lot of damage to other Majharrat."

"HOLD UP! He's a Majharrat!! And Rang? And you?"

"And you!"

"Me?"

"Yes, that's what I said. Listen, Hylean knew it, so did Ranguvar, and your father and mother, rest their souls." He looked at her, she didn't move, so, the war has dulled her a bit. "Unfortunately, I'd unlock the power in you, but because of some of the things that has happened it would be dangerous. But you're an archer aren't you? That must be coo..."

"But what about Hylean! I don't need special powers or anyt" Interrupted Ranguvar, who was in turn interrupted.

"He will have to leave, he used his abilities too much without control, like having a bow with a string that's too strong. What's that?" They sat in silence, soon, even Alexia could feel the strange magics emanating from the room before.

"Hylean's waking up, I don't want you to see him, its unbalancing for him. Listen, eventually, you'll find happiness, the future cannot possibly be written in stone for one as strong as you, and Hylean, well, I can't predict his future any more."

He disappeared. And Alexia sat there feeling the coat that was Hylean's wondering at the Seer's words, why couldn't he see his own son's future? She heard strange noises, a shout, and a scream. She could no longer help herself and she jumped down, and into the inn.

The skies still looked very malevolent, pouring down their hate into the ground.
