darkmage099
I'm really into hockey but there's too many tips. GO for Crosby of course. I would suggest a young team. Old guys tend to be inconsistent as do rookies. My favorites are 3rd-4th years. The key, however, is to get an EXCELLENT goaltender. tryto
Crosby was good last two years, but i think after being so good last year, he's too expensive to make him worth it, unless he scores about 100 assists, and 100 goals. The key is having a good goalie, as darkmage said. I have lundquist and khabibulin this year, nothing special, but very cheap(2$ ea) When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him. ~Jonathan SwiftWebsite Updates/Corrections here. 1canadian1
Take the Sedin Twins. They're in their prime and both deadly. Daniel for the scoring, Henrik for the assisting. Here are some Tips.. 1) Make your trades! I have seen many place near the bottom of their pool when a few, even mediocre trades, would have brought them into the top 3. People get dejected easily and early which is why I feel a number of trades, or a trade period should be included in all pools. Otherwise its like watching a game for 6 months as opposed to actually playing in one. If you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re in a pool without trades you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re not a serious poolie. If you are- get out and into one with trades. Then use your trades̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ unless you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t actually need to of course. If that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s the case- send me your picklist. 2) Don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t panic trade. Try to space your trades over the season. Remember injuries always happen so you will almost always need some trades later. Never trade within the first 15 or so games unless something extreme happens (a horrible injury, retirement or getting sent to the minors come to mind). Be patient as 10 or so games rarely dictate how a season will go, and the same goes for the player you pick up. You notice a player with 12 points in 10 games because he has 12 points but often the law of averages wins out and he will get 2 in the next 10. Then you feel like an idiot̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ 3) Keep your sleepers up your sleeve. If you find a guy you like that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s low on other people̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s lists and minds, then wait as long as possible before grabbing him. This is how the Oakland A̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s do so well at draft time with so little cash. Also, their evaluation method is rooted in Chaos theory (see the book Moneyball). Remember- there̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s C-A-S-H in C-H-A-O-S. 4) Be organized before and during the draft. Highlight what you need, cross out picked players as they get chosen, ask questions of others and make notes. There̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s nothing worse than picking an injured player because you weren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t listening to the chatter or missing a great pick because you thought he was already chosen. I always pick for between 3 and 5 people in abstencia on draft night often from 3 different lists and never hold anyone up or miss what̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s going on. Yes, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m patting myself on the back, but its not just possible, its easy if you are organized. 5) Don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t buy into rookie hype. I remember when I took Joe Thornton in his rookie year in round 4. He got 7 points nearly halfway through the season (and few points the rest of the year) before I finally dumped him. There are no-brainers like Malkin and Crosby but most times scoring success for a rookie is due to a guaranteed top line position and consistant talent on either side- which is the perfect sign of a no brainer. Pittsburg was chomping at the bit to build their club around those two. 6) Get your friends and as many people as possible in all pools. Seriously, it is so much more fun when trash talking with your buddies and it sucks to win a pool with only 5 people in it. Getting people to commit to pools is not easy so don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t leave it up to your pool admin to bring the numbers up- everyone has to work together. 7) Go in a pool that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s hosted online with daily updates. The best part of being in a pool is getting hooked. Waiting for the morning updates, or dynamic updates can be way more exciting than non poolies would understand and that excitement can last up to 6 months. Not bad for the price of entry. I used to do a weekly update through email, and although there was lots of good trash talk and communication via this method, in a way the person doing the stats has an advantage in being ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åup̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâà RSN: Zammyftw ^^The girl that ruined music.
