New sig -- Cold Calculation of December

Featured Replies

Well, Id be an idiot to say this wasnt inspired by Froth Kahn and Dementedhero, so props first to them

I usually dont put photos in my sigs, but lately I find that it makes me work better because its much easier to create something because the picture gives me some inspiration of its own. Its much easier than starting blank.

I think this is probably my best yet, and most complex (over 30 layers  ) Lots of brushing  so anyway, share your thoughts and critique as you will.

Also rate if you want

If it isn't in your veins, you'll never know.

I like it.. its smooth and everything and easy for the eye (no squinting).

9.9/10.. room for perfection.

Thats cool, You've nailed the flow :) . Cool subtle colours. But the typo is pretty sucky. The tech or linework is cool. Great job on it.

Edit: not the title, I mean the text ;)

Thanks :D

Im guessing by "typo" you mean either the title or font choice. Im not good at, err, good title picking, or font picking. I thought the colors looked cold, the techwork kinda the "calculation", and when I found this photo, she was standing in a snowy area. Sooo...hehe.

I think by typo he means typography (the small writing that you cant read and is just there for image)... I might be wrong though...

Looks great, I love the colours, the flow that it has..

You've incorporated the picture into it very nicely, great job :)

I like the picture of the girl's face there. The colours are a bit bland though (unless this was intended - sort of a phantom effect?), and I'd make them either more vibrant, or perhaps greyer, to give a more ghostly look.

I wasnt going for a "phantom" effect, more like a cooling, calm, a bit eerie choice of colors. I am not a fan of big, "vibrant" colors, I love to be subtle 8)

Nicely done. The picture works well in it.

picture does workvery well indeedy m8, not very often u see it, very smooth and streamline

text needs some attention though m8

By the way, did you take the picture, and what did you use to take it?

I go to a free stock photo website for all my pictures. I think this was from a "corbis" something photo site. Just do a random search on "free stock photos" and there you go

Takes some perseverance though, allot of them are crap :?

If it isn't in your veins, you'll never know.

I like the sig, had a calm feeling to it.

Overall all the colors, text, and organization fit in nicely.

Well done.

Err, well, I write poetry inbetween art and things, so I guess I have an over-imagination that tends to look corny. The colors represented the "cold" linework represented the calculation of it all, and December just hit me. Corny, but hey, it works

The face blends really well. I wouldn't anti-alias the font though, if I was you.

Dreaming of that face again

It's bright, and blue, and shimmering

Grinning wide

And comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes
