Herblore does not follow this principle as it is more science based.

 

 

 

To produce 4 doses in one go would results in overflowing the vial as it re-acts PLUS using 1 herb and 1 2nd ingredient in a vial of 4 water doses would create a more dilute potion, hence making it less effective

 

 

 

Since you are more experienced Herblore'ist you would be more effective on how you mix and make your Pots. Getting more out of your herbs and 2nds. Also with your mad skills with pest'n'mort and knowing how to handle your herbs delution would not be a rpob.

and regardless of skill you cannot get more out what you have.

 

 

 

Thats like saying a skilled driver can get more than 10 miles per gallon on a car design to use 1 gallon for 10 miles

 

 

 

Or like a skilled cook can take a normal sponge cake recipe (eg 60z flour, 6oz sugar 6oz marg, 3 eggs), but then can produce the exact same quantiy of cake with 1/3 of the ingredients.

 

 

 

It just doesn't not happen that way

 

 

 

If you class a vial of water as 3 parts water

 

 

 

Then 3 doses of potion is 3 parts water 1 part herb 1 part 2nd ingredient that that makes a potion

 

 

 

To make four doses in 1 go would make 4 parts water, 1 part herb, 1 part 2nd ingredient

 

 

 

Whatever way you spin it you cannot suddenly produce an extra dose of potion from the same base items, regardless of skill.

 

 

 

I agree that herblore perhaps needs something at higher levels, but so do alot of skills and the answer isn't copying features of other skills onto them where it wouldn't make sense

I reiterate that the only purpose of that image not being fully cropped out is bragging. It saddens me to see that you spent all that time making a good post, but ruin it all with one photo. That inventory picture was completely unnecessary.

The reason I don't post at SoDB anymore is because everyone there acts like you, with few exceptions. I mentioned the lack of a community and got banned from there. What a wonderful "thank you" to one of the guys who started SoDB in the first place.

At the behest of others, I will contribute to this thread:

 

 

 

Jagex made herblore production the way it is for a reason. To keep it from being too profitable. Roe and Caviar potions if given 4 doses would destroy the market for normal potions, shifting the power of sales of these items to a higher herblore level. It would also upset the fishing industry and cooking industries.

 

 

 

But more importantly, it's overbalanced! They made the (3) dose and (2) max on combined potions intentionally. It is very unlikely that they are going to change that.

I'm sorry, but calling someone a noob for posting an excellent suggestion, is just stupid. He posted the part of his bank to make a point. You are the reason that makes this community bad, and the reason people leave. I agree there are nice people here at tip.it but the ammount of flaming and spam is ridiculous.
