Tabula Rasa

Featured Replies

Anyone else looking forward to this new game as much as me?

If you like Guild Wars, then it's basically a redesign of the game but with a sci-fi theme instead of the fantasy thing.

It looks really awesome and was wondering if anyone has any news on it, like a suggested release date or something.

Anyway, here's the link if anyone's interested.

Looks really good. Sucks that it isn't free, but what mmo isnt these days. If I get a job, I'll look into it.

So far I've heard its pretty bad. Haven't got a chance to try my self but some stuff is way overpowered, and its pretty simplistic.

Well, they just released the Beta for 1.5k testers. So I'm gonna wait for some feedback from them. I guess that'll give us a true indication of what it's like.

I just figured that since Guild Wars is awesome and that it's basically built on the same engine but with a sci-fi theme, I really think they can't go wrong. But the proof is in the pudding I guess :)

I'm not touching then, cant exactly afford monthly fees on top. Rs wasn't bad but im guessing this will be like wow.

Tough luck, then, because 90% of worthwile MMOs have subscription fees of either 15$ a month or 12.95$ a month.

I've heard that TR's improved since beta. Lol, the full name is actually "Richard Garriot's Tabula Rasa"

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Well bearing in mind i hardly play them...you get the idea.

I like GW..but a sci-fi theme? I'm more into the fantasy theme..I'll give it a pass. But I'm sure it's great :)

Been playing Tabula Lately. One of the better Futuristic games i've ever played. I still prefer anarchy online though, but those games are two different types of games though both packaged the same they offer much different paces and playing styles.

Too much "ooo look, RICHARD GARRIOT MADE IT!" in the advertising for me. Good games advertise their systems, their approaches to common elements of game design, the - should such a thing exist in their game - new exciting concepts.

When the main selling point seems to be a guy who made another game (or another game in itself) I get suspicioius.

(That being said, the whole Logos thing looked kinda interesting)

Ah, that's encouraging, thanks. I'm trying to get a hold of the demo lol. Would hate to pay 30 quid for it and a subscription if I don't like it.
