Ok, this time everything was made from me. the texture, atmosphere, terrain (you may recognize the front terrain. I recently found out how to import terragen terrains into vue!)

Anyways.. i wanted to try something different, kind of like some of my other terragen renders i did, which arn't exactly "normal". I do agree i wish i could do more to this, and i'm not sure if it seems a bit too saturated at parts? (I get bad at over-saturating sometimes) but i like it for the most part.

So.. it took me about all night to render it :P And i've been working on it in vue for a while now. Hopefully you all will like it too :D

Comments, C&C, ect. welcome :). I didn't add any text either because well... A. Can't think of a name for this and B. I hate text

the end terrain might be a little to light... it might look better if it was a tad bit more defined. but either way, amazing job :D

Yeah, i edited up the end terrain some because i did a color burn in there, and got rid of all of the color in the surface in the front :(

Thanks. I might try and work on this more if I get time.

Woah! That's really good!.

Any reason behind that dot on the mountain?

I thought it was a beacon when I first looked at it?(the light ---yellow dot on the far mountain)

Anyways, have you been hired to do graphic design by some big company? Your work is amazing man! Speechless.

it could be a beacon. yeah thats what it is! of course

Thanks alot. I'm hoping to be a graphics artist for an actual job. :)

Thanks again.

I really like it. The texture is awesome, so good work as usual. The only real crit I have, which I have also mentioned to you before, is to try and make the mountains more edgy. Because they tend to be a wee "round" - the "tops" especially. So they sorta' remind me of the Bryce mountain-renders, which is never something you should strive for to achieve. :P

So, keep working on that, and you will be able to produce even better renders. :)

The yellow dot is part of the lensflare that was "caught" by the lens. If you slightly move your camera or change your lensflare (which I recommend, it's way too cliche and to be honest looks a bit tacky) then that yellow dot will disappear.

I see alot of detail in the mountains in the middle ground, I'd like to see it better. When you see the mountains in the foreground they shouldn't be that blurry. Remember, things closer to you often have more detail than those things farther away. Right now I see more detail in that hazy mountain that I can barely make out, than I do in the mountains right in front of me.

Also, the red stuff is getting old, have you tried other colors for atmosphere? Maybe something a bit more realistic?

ah ok, i got it.

This actualy was a blue/purplish color, but then i changed it later on. I am going to do some non-red stuff though :) . I'll work on the detail thing as well.

and i know its very cliche, I just wanted to see if I could do something like that.

Thanks for the tips , next i'll probaly try and do a more realistic peice :D

After viewing the picture at work (with a much better monitor) I can see alot more detail in the foreground - my mistake.
