October 20, 200718 yr At level 69 slayer I figured it was about time for a black mask and me being cheap, I figured I'd go get one myself. So now I've killed a few hundred cave horrors with no mask and not even a clue, I'm wondering how rare of a drop is it? Obviously they are bad clue droppers as well. They are extremely easy to kill but am I wasting my time?
October 20, 200718 yr I do Cave Horrors for slayer every time I get a task, but I've only ever gotten one mask drop. However, some people are lucky and get one every task, or every couple of tasks. I don't think you're wasting your time really, but it would be much easier for you to just buy one. They aren't THAT expensive.

October 20, 200718 yr Author doesn't sound cruel to me, just being honest! I'll give it a bit longer before I give up though. its pretty good range experience as they are really easy to hit. Would be nice to at least get a clue though. Thanks for the opinions!
October 20, 200718 yr When I was really into slayer I got like 1/250. Guess I was kinda lucky, I've gotten 3 drops I can remember of and have also got a Left Half from them :-k
October 20, 200718 yr I used to get masks quite often doing cave horrors, probably got 5 all up so they are pretty rare. I found they used to be good clue droppers getting a clue just about every trip maybe you are just unlucky.
October 20, 200718 yr Author That could be...although I just finished a jelly assignment and got three clues from that. Never get the really good stuff though. I was just thinking today that of all the slayer monsters I've killed that drop mystic items I've never gotten one! And thats literally thousands of kills. No half shields either.

October 20, 200718 yr Took me about 500 kills for mine, and I struggle to kill them, they seem to always hit 7's every hit, even in dragonhide. Ranged them in the end but since they can now move diagonally it makes them harder still. How do you kill them so easily? Trust the Gene Genie!
