Pay Gardner to SuperCompost/ Weed Patch for you?

Reading through the farming guide it says you can pay a gardner 200gp to weed and supercompost a tree patch for you, you wont be able to get the roots though. I havent seen this option and no one in game knows anything about this. Can anyone verify this?

I think you're mixing 2 things up. You can pay a farmer 2k(?) to chop your tree down, but you won't get the roots, and you can also pay them to watch over your tree, so it won't get diseased.

Alternatively, you could pay a gardener 200gp and (s)he will clear the patch and supercompost it for you, but you won't get the tree roots this way. The gardeners will only chop down maple, yew or magic trees; you must chop your own oaks and willows. Here are the five tree patch locations:

I don't know if it's 200 gp or 2k, but (if this is right) this means that you can pay the farmer so that he cuts the tree down for you and uses supercompost for you, although he won't give you the tree root.

Im not mixing anything up, lol.

I know about having a gardner watch over your patch so it doesnt get diseased by using items that gardner will request based on what your planting.

What Im talking about is what the Tip It Farm Guide says...

"Alternatively, you could pay a gardener 200gp and (s)he will clear the patch and supercompost it for you, but you won't get the tree roots this way. The gardeners will only chop down maple, yew or magic trees; you must chop your own oaks and willows. Here are the five tree patch locations:"

I think the reason I dont see this option is because Im planting Willows, I thought the gardner would clear the patch and supercompost it for me, then I would have chop down the willow myself. Ill see when I can plant Maples if I get the option available.

Paying 200gp would make the farmer remove the tree for you, leaving the patch bare, I don't think he/she would supercompost the patch for you.

Farmers do chop down any kind of tree for 200gp, even oak and willows.

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
