He said his input, then said "Woot, 300 posts :P" and that's spamming for post count? You're rediculous, your post was more "Spam" than his was. Nice to know our mod's know what they're doing!...Yea. Anyways, never heard of St. George day, so I'll look into that. :P
Dark_Tigra
Oh, I see now, it's not officially a "day" yet. :P No wonder.
Mercifull
I dont see the point in having a day off for it when nobody actually celebrates it. More happens on Paddy's day than old George. Mercifull
Theres are 3 main reasons why we shouldnt really have a day off for St G's day. 1. He made dragons extinct 2. He wasnt even English 3. He never even SET FOOT in England Quick Facts about St George [*:1ajf435k] Born in Turkey (in Cappadocia) [*:1ajf435k] Lived in 3rd century [*:1ajf435k] His parents were Christian [*:1ajf435k] Became a Roman soldier [*:1ajf435k] Protested against Rome's persecution of Christians [*:1ajf435k] Imprisoned and tortured, but stayed true to his faith [*:1ajf435k] Beheaded at Lydda in Palestine St George is patron saint not only of England but also of Aragon, Catalonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Palestine and Portugal amongst others, although he is celebrated on different days. St George is also patron saint of soldiers, archers, cavalry and chivalry, farmers and field workers, riders and saddlers, and he helps those suffering from leprosy, plague and syphilis. Bubsa
Damn you Matt, always beating me to the point ;) In any case, I'd like a day off but not just for the sake of things. I'll go celebrate England though either way. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
Phil
I dont see the point in having a day off for it when nobody actually celebrates it. More happens on Paddy's day than old George. Exactly! and we should celebrate it like we do Paddy's day!! The difference is that the Irish have got Guinness and know how to party :P Also I think Paddy's day is bigger is because the Irish go and watch the gaelic football and hurling finals on the tv's in the pubs. :) Just so you know we don't celebrate St. Andrew's day here.(which is 30th Nov.) We celebrate Burns night more I suppose :D
Futurama
Even considering Mercifull's points, i'm still gonna vote yes. We English should have some pride, even if this is the best we've got.

English pride...Hmm.. I've got it! I now officially dub April 10th "Drive On The Wrong Side Of The Road Day" in America. :D I predict chaos. ...Man, I'm bored.
