Looks like w32.VaguePost.Noinfo>Nohelp has infected lot of the users of tipit ;)

We're good but were not mind readers. ;)

Please read the FAQ post before posting next time. Its hard to help people when they dont post the information we need to help you.

Please Scan your PC with your anti virus again with the latest defenitions, if you dont have antivirus (i really hope you do) then you can scan with Housecall

Please also download, if you havnt already done so, Ad Aware SE and Spybot S&D.

Scan with both those programs and remove any spyware and/or keyloggers if they show up.

Please also post a Hijckthis log in your thread. There are instructions in the stickys if you need more help.

Its really annoying when people don't do as asked, help us to help you.

I have scanned with antivirus, and adaware, and spybot sd. This is not a virus or whatever. becouse it has always been unstable, its just gotten a little worse.

It does however show you are running an illegal runescape client. Badly coding which is probably what it causing your PC problems. The rest of it looks fine really. Perhaps its a hardware problem. Can you reach round the back of the pc, is the air coming out cool, warm or really hot?

Do you get massive amounts of lag before it hangs?

Even if you don't you might want to consider memtest, or something :-?

  • Author

As i have said before, my comp has ALWAYS been unstable so it has nothing to do with the "illegal runescape client". And no, the temperature isnt the problem (i tried opening the comp casing and putting a big fan next to it, kept it below 40 C and still hangs)

Try reformatting, to really see if it is a software-based problem.

hmm.. since heat is not a problem.. and u mentioned that ur computer has always been unstable.

Is your computer OEM or DIY?

Ways the pc can hang will harddisk fault, for example mulitple bad sectors which causes corrupt data.

Another i can think of will be faulty ram..

Correct me if i am wrong.

Data when flows to the ram slot, its being diverted randomly among the modules found on it..

If u look @ the ram, there are afew black square chip-like stuff on it... looks like below.

______________

| (1) (2) (3) (4) |

--------------------

Say, the 2nd module is faulty. When data is being randomly diverted to that module, information cannot be processed and hence causing computer to hang.

Say what?

And how do i check the ram for faults?
