The old holiday drops

 

 

 

aka easter eggs, pumpkins, phats, halloween masks, crackers and santas were dropped to be fun. Unfortunately people ruined it by selling them for huge profits so Jagex stopped doing holiday drops.

 

 

 

After a about 2 years holidays items were brought back in thier new non-tradable form, this way they are fun as planned, but don't turn into huge money makers - therefore ruining their intentions.

 

 

 

As for lederhosen its a random event outfit, none of them are tradable, as they are fairly rare so again would be stupidly high money makers.

 

 

 

Bascially jagex doesn't allow any item that is relitavely easy to get, yet still uncommom-rare to be tradable as they become worth 2 much

Because tradeable rares were intended to be fun items, they probably made them tradeable so you could share with friends who weren't on at the time. But people who weren't on and had no friends who had extras wanted them too. So they bought them. More and more people joined, so more and more people wanted them, so the price rose. And rose. And rose. Then people who had gottend 100s of them sold em all and made insane amounts of cash, which was hell for the economy. So it's best there are no more tradeable holiday items.. :anxious:

because after the events ages ago, they discontinued the items, and they stopped making the newer ones tradable.

The Santa hats are discontinuied because they are bad for the economy but the others and untradable because tradable rares were ment for fun not profit.
